  • For those awaiting Y results

Jacob posted this reply to his email to Mr. Greenspan previously but I thought others may like to have it handy.

Terrific. Gives me little hope of 598 before spring break.

You're in Batch 598 for Y tests too? Do me a favor and reply to this thread if you get your results and I will do the same that way either of us can get a timeline.

I have a kit in batch 598 that is potentially due for Y-DNA111 results tomorrow (Thursday). I will surely report here whenever any panels came back.

Yes, I have a y-37 to y-67 upgrade in batch 598. It "updated" the timeline on Sunday to 1-2 weeks.

If I hear anything, I'll post it here.

I'm in batch 593. I have 1-12 in and 61-67. None of the others have come in. I'm going to send an email tonight (I'm sure in vain) and see if there is a mistake or not. I had ordered the y67. Oh and I have been 1-2 weeks now for about a month.

I think I saw that posted a couple of weeks ago on another topic in this section. I received the same email a couple of days ago. While my 'order summary' says our test was complete on 12/18 - it is NOT and the timeframe has said our results are expected in another 1-3 weeks for almost that long. We are in batch 593 and are have waited more than 12 werks now. We are getting so tired of excuses and false time frames.

Wow. please tell us when your results come in. How do you know they are due in a day? Is that what the time frame indicates
                    ?

The 8th of January is now history and none of 10 STR panels is back in, Family Finder is not in, Big Y is not in (three different kits and different batches). Nothing in the notes.

I am a project administrator, and for projects FTDNA has a Pending Lab Results table, which is exactly as you guessed a conversion from weeks to dates done at the time when the tests are batched.

                      W.

P.S. Pending Lab Results table is not all blessing since sorting by Expected Date places entries due last year at the bottom of the column

The first panel of results for my y-37--->y-67 upgrade from batch 598 posted last night or early this morning (38-47) with 48-60 and 61-67 still listed @ 1-2 weeks.

Great! At least you are seeing some movement. Nothing has showed up on this end at all.

Received an update for a Y-67 test last night from batch 596 from one of my projects. The 1-12 panel say 4-6 weeks and the rest say 2-4 weeks and the explanation is:
'Results for your Y-DNA testing have been delayed. We have updated your predicted completion date, and action by you is not usually required. Note that predicted dates are an estimate and subject to lab volume and quality control.'

                              Frustrating

So now we have a partial completion on Batch 598 but extended results timeline on previously batched samples. Trying to get an idea on results timelines seems obviously pointless. I still bet I get my YSEQ SNP tests back from Germany before I get my full Y STR results back from here.
