Jacob posted this reply to his email to Mr. Greenspan previously but I thought others may like to have it handy.

My Upgrade from y-12 to y-67 is in Batch 599. On Monday it was updated to 1-3 weeks.Last edited by Laizuregirl; 7 January 2015, 06:57 PM.

I'm in batch 593. I have 1-12 in and 61-67. None of the others have come in. I'm going to send an email tonight (I'm sure in vain) and see if there is a mistake or not. I had ordered the y67. Oh and I have been 1-2 weeks now for about a month.Last edited by crhfish; 8 January 2015, 10:37 PM.

I am a project administrator, and for projects FTDNA has a Pending Lab Results table, which is exactly as you guessed a conversion from weeks to dates done at the time when the tests are batched.

P.S. Pending Lab Results table is not all blessingsince sorting by Expected Date places entries due last year at the bottom of the column

Received an update for a Y-67 test last night from batch 596 from one of my projects. The 1-12 panel say 4-6 weeks and the rest say 2-4 weeks and the explanation is:
'Results for your Y-DNA testing have been delayed. We have updated your predicted completion date, and action by you is not usually required. Note that predicted dates are an estimate and subject to lab volume and quality control.'

Frustrating
So now we have a partial completion on Batch 598 but extended results timeline on previously batched samples. Trying to get an idea on results timelines seems obviously pointless. I still bet I get my YSEQ SNP tests back from Germany before I get my full Y STR results back from here.
