Please remove junk messages

Maybe they ought to think about how to head off this kind of problem in the future. Like if a user has X number of [independent] flags against him/her in a given time interval, his/her posting privileges will be temporarily suspended. I mean, like if a number of different people flag them. Obviously you don't want a situation where a single user could spam the flag button out of spite.

It's not just an aesthetic problem. A lot of these kind of spam posts contain harmful code.

Looks like they are back and currently online with 83 more messages and counting.
Don't know why their account was not disabled/banned.
A quick "quack" (aka doing a google look up via duckduckgo) reveals a user by this same name is spamming other forums - the post count there - almost 6000!

Yep. I flagged the first post (again) and asked that the offender be banned.

I was told they don't have the staff to monitor the Forum. I told that staff member I didn't think FTDNA cared about the Forum and again said if they couldn't have someone check the new messages once a day they needed to remove the Forum.

I flagged messages yesterday until it wouldn't let me flag any more. Today I flagged one and sent another message to 'Customer Support'. I'll stop visiting the Forum for a while. Maybe it will improve someday.

Like I said before, I really hope FTDNA doesn’t get rid of this forum. It’s a great feature, and it means a lot to me.

I ended up flagging a lot, but not all, of the spam messages, and then blocked the name. Now I don't see any posts by the spammer, so have to rely on others to know if the messages have been removed.

Hello Jim and everyone: I am Jeremy, the Customer Service Manager, here at FTDNA, and I monitor the Forums every working day. I am sorry it took too long to remove those Spam posts, but I did a few days ago and that user is blocked from posting again. I am also sorry for the confusing info an agent gave you yesterday. I am working with my team to have a better, cohesive message. However, the Forums pages are very much alive and well.
