Of course posting this here does nothing. Try using the 'Flag' button, lower right hand corner of the message or the 'Customer Support' link at the top of the page.

That’s been tried - more than once.

I tried when I first saw these messages and they went away. I have used it twice within the last month and it worked both times.

There’s still a crap load of them in the Scientific Papers subforum.

Wow - that's alot of spam messages in the Scientific papers section.
Once title can be translated as "Ghostwriting accounting title dissertation [study abroad essay ghostwriting micro Q: 2673514880]"
I haven't bothered to open the messages to see what they are about - as spam is spam.
(So far they have sent 106 spams - though I had to open one of them to flag it as spam)

[FYI - there’s an email going around offering processed pork, gelatine and salt in a can.
If you get this email, don’t open it. It’s spam.]

I think getting rid of those spam posts should be a high priority. Probably those links are some kind of phishing exercise. No idea, but then again I'd rather not find out.

I'm betting they disappear before too long. Maybe not today, but at least by tomorrow. I did suggest that FTDNA remove the Forum if they couldn't have someone check new messages at least one a day to watch for crap.

Oh, I hope they don’t ever get rid of this forum. It’s where I first started discussing genetic genealogy, before I even got the first of my Y-37 results.

It’s bad enough that YSearch is gone.

It seems the user "nifeide" has been at it again, bombarding the forum with yet even more rubbish. Why isn't there an option to report a user? Then they could ban them and delete all their messages.

There is a "Flag" icon/link at the bottom of each message. Click on it and report this spammer! I did!

Ok, it seems all those messages have been removed. Let's hope they stay clear of the forum.
