  • Logon problem (catch 22 situation)

    Help! Cannot logon using my kit number because I have forgotten my password. Asking system to email me the password fails because I originally used my OLD and now CLOSED Yahoo email address when I originally registered. So how do I found out the password or preferably can someone reset things for me? Peter

    You will probably have to phone FTDNA and supply them with info (ie past payment info, address, ect...)

    or use the open request form and inquire

      This is why EVERYONE needs to keep ALL of their contact information: address, phone number and email address current.

        Ysearch password reset does not recognize email address

        Uploaded to Ysearch, have username, forgot password, Ysearch does not recognize email address for forgot password
        Any advise on how to recover the PW for the Ysearch?
        Any help appreciated.

          Can't log in to delete extra upload

          YSearch is buggy, it seemed not to take my uploads. Tried 4 times. A few days later I've got 4 identical records on there, ugh. I was able to log in to 2 of them and delete them. 1 is a keeper, the one I'll use. The other does not let me edit it using any password I can come up with. The send an email function always has an error, using 3 different browsers, no email arrives. I just want to get the extra record off there, it's obviously a duplicate of the other one. Who's got the delete button for this ?!

            Help! I am trying to buy a DNA Kit but the form won't accept my credit card no. I gave checked with my bank and they say there is nothing wrong with my card. When I finish filling in the form and click on the green enter area it just puts a red border where the card no is and nothing else happens. Please help.

              Which DNA test are you trying to buy?
              If you are a female buying a Y test the system stops you until you have completed the section relating to the male whose DNA it is

                When typing your credit card number, don't add spaces or hyphens. Just the numbers. If FTDNA does not accept it then perhaps you are using a card they do not support. You will have to contact FTDNA. The red box indicates something is not what their system excepts such as missing numbers.

                To contact them click on Customer Support at the top of the page. Then in the Support section you have two options. One option to fill out a form so they can email you and the other to call them.
