  • Ancestry DNA upload - when?

    Ancestry FTDNA upload if ever?
Well, it didn't happen on the new year - and it is still on the website as "in the very near future".
Are they serious? Is it actually going to happen?
How hard can it be? I would have thought a days programming work?
There's plenty of other websites where you can upload that take both Ancestry chips.
I don't mean to be rude, am I obviously missing something?
    Some feedback would be great,
    thanks,
    Sharon

AncestryDNA's new chip's numbers of SNPs that overlap with Family Tree DNA's chip's tested SNPs are deficient compared to AncestryDNA's old chip. As a result, there may be quality control issues causing extra false matches, just as there may be with comparisons to 23andMe's v4 chip.

Which means just like 23andMe's V4 chip, we're never going to see FTDNA accept it. I wish they'd just be honest and say that instead of continuing to offer false promises.

The IT department is still working on this. The original goal was to have it completed by the end of last year. Well, that didn't happen as you well know. They are actively still working on this, and I will let you know once I have something more concrete.
