Suggestions regarding the Family Tree and Surname Lists:
1 Family Tree Dates and Places: When a gedcom is uploaded could the FTDNA program extract baptism dates and places and burial dates and places in lieu of birth and death details, if these are absent. My tree and many others display names of ancestors with no dates or places, which is totally unhelpful.
2 Privacy Settings: The privacy settings allow deceased people born in the last 100 years and/or born in the last 100+ years to be marked private. Could we have another option, say at 130 years. For many users aged over 60 it is currently impossible to conceal full details of our parents without concealing all ancestors.
3 Surname List: If a gedcom is uploaded the surnames are extracted into this list. You can then add locations but, for each surname, you have to click Edit, enter place, then click Save, which is quite tedious. If then an updated gedcom is uploaded, a duplicate of each surname is added to the list, but of course without the place name, so you have to go through deleting each duplicate in turn. At upload, could the program only add surnames which are not already in the list.
