  • Unable to use FF Advanced Search

Tomorrow will be a full week since I have not been able to use Advanced Search to search projects. I have written here, sent a message with an error report, and written on the FB page and I haven't heard anything. Is there any progress in getting this fixed???

I also made a report. Janine mentioned on the ISOGG facebook page that it is being investigated but no time frame for a fix.

There is also no time frame for a fix of the backlog that causes the ongoing delays - and I wonder if both issues are somehow connected.

The lab work and the never ending IT problems are separate issues.

I have honestly not had much of a complaint since I started with FTDNA last July. But this one is starting to annoy me.

The never ending lab work and the IT problems may be separate issues but both boil down to a common cause: Not having enough resources, i.e. money.

That's not true. As an engineering manager, I used to constantly have to remind my CEO that you can't get three women pregnant and have a baby in three months.

Even though I don't work there, from a website/technical standpoint, I could probably rattle off 20 development/test process problems they have just based on the results I'm seeing. You could hire as many software developers as you want and not fix that.

It would help if they had change and release management, also incident and problem management.

That is true, but the idea of having redundancy (three women instead of one) to enhance reliability/uptime is intriguing.
