mtDNA HAPLOGROUP changed from H27 t0 B4'5

My mtDNA HAPLOGROUP changed from H27 t0 B4'5 and so did all my matches in mtDNA over 2 months ago.I have been waiting to hear from help desk for six weeks since I last got an email from them. Here is the reply I got back from the Darren Marin at the help desk on 7/25/2014 2 questions for FF Has none of my matches complained and how long is it going to take them to fix it.

The problem seems to be that 8281-8289d is the defining mutation for haplogroup B, however, this deletion is common and occurs in many other people, including a subgroup of people in H27. There seems to be a bug in the FTDNA haplogroup assignment algorithm that incorrectly reassigned these people from H27 to B4'5. If anyone wants to confirm their mtDNA sublclade they can upload their results to James Lick's mthap webtool.

So Lick's utility ranked B4 higher than H27? You might want to drop him an e-mail. Just off the top of my head, the utility may have given extra credit for matching all the bases in the 9 base pair deletion (which should really count as one event), but the mismatches should have decreased the "score."

IT has worked on a fix for this bug, and it appears that the fix is close to being released. It *might* be released by the end of this week, but don't hold me to that -- it's just an informal estimate on my part

Just want to make sure you noticed that your haplogroup is now H27 again? It was fixed on Sept 12 -- I just forgot to post here when it was done.

I recently got my mtDNA full sequence results, and I cannot find anything about this haplogroup. It's not even listed in the dropdown menu on the mitosearch site. I can find little/no information and only have one match.
