  • Missing Geno 2.0 results

    Some time ago I transferred my Geno 2.0 results to FTDNA and they were available on the website but several days after the Y-tree was updated the results disappeared. It is almost a month now. I wonder what is going on. I have already contacted Helpdesk a long time ago but have got no answer.

    That happened to 3 people in my project. Bug report filed, but no correction yet.

    Very soon I will have to write to FTDNA's CEO about the several different kinds of data loss I have observed over the past month in my project. Customers have paid good money for tests; they are rightly shocked when FTDNA simply "forgets" test results.

      It's three months since I first reported this to Helpdesk and two months since I started this thread and my results are still missing. I have called Helpdesk twice from Europe and first they promised fixing the issue in one and a half weeks, then they said that they would be e-mailing me later in the day but several days later still nothing.

      I wonder whether somebody is looking into my problem at all? When I first called Helpdesk, they spent 10 minutes convincing me that everything was fine and that I was mistaken. Finally they acknowledged that they had two copies of my Geno 2.0 data and this is the reason why the results don't display.

      It should be very easy to fix - in the worst case scenario their IT guys could manually fix the mess in the database. I am an IT professional and know this very well. It could be fixed in 10 minutes.

      My conclusion after this (and many other reported problems) is that FTDNA doesn't even care as soon as you've paid your tests. In the future most probably I am going to switch to other companies as this is a pure waste of money and time and as I hate FTDNA's attitude towards their customers.

        Can you send me your kit number via private message?

        Issues with individual kits can, unfortunately, take a while to get resolved, since everything has to get prioritized within the IT department. But I'll find out where this is in the process for you.
