I keep looking and waiting. I hate waiting, but it is kind of exciting.

Has anyone heard any more about this? My grandsons should be among the first to get their Family Finder-based Y-DNA haplogroups, but so far no cigar.

I have not heard anything. There is a 2nd cousin who did a FF test for me a few years ago (before the date shown these days in the match list), and I know what Y-DNA haplogroup he should be, based on his relationship to those related who already have tested their Y-DNA, so I will be interested to see his result when they do get shown. Maybe by Christmas?

I'm kinda waiting for your grandsons' results to show, so I'll know things are starting to move!

I have some same-surname Family Finder matches whose relationship to me I do not know whose Y-DNA results could be real pleasant eye-openers, if they go the right way, but they have been among my FF matches a lot longer than my grandsons, so I will be waiting even longer for their results.

Maybe the results for my grandsons will come in as the trick-or-treaters start charging up my driveway.

The August 31 GAP newsletter indicated that they no longer have a firm ETA, just as soon as possible. They said that customers will start to receive results by the end of the year, but it is not clear if this means all customers or just those that have tested since March 2019.

Maybe they are waiting for the conference the first weekend in Nov. Or may history is repeating itself. I've lost count of the times FTDNA has announced something only for it to arrive months later. The best laid plans of ----.
