No, neither of them works with lower case ... so proving your hypothesis

Had you been entering it as uppercase before?
And did you try now using uppercase?

If so - will it also accept lower case now?

If you had used upper case before, and now it will only accept upper case, then it is consistent with what I suggest above - that it is now case sensitive, and the old passwords are "locked in" to the choice you had been using.

So, yes, what loobster says about "locking in" makes sense.

FTDNA originally sent Passwords with an Letters listed as Uppper Case, but the password was not Case Sensitive.

Now they are Case Sensitive - and for the old passwords - am guessing -- if you were using them lower case, FTDNA, in effect, locked them in as lower case, while if you were using them as Upper Case, they "locked them in" as Upper Case.

Does this make sense to folks? And is it what others are seeing?

It seems my older Kits with letters in the Password now only work with lower-case letters, even tho they were originally presented to me as upper-case, and I wrote them down as upper-case. Had incorrectly assumed if they worked lower-case they were not case-sensitive, but not so.

And the new Kit only works with upper-case.

Wonder if it was done on purpose, and if so, why?
I copied mine from the original order confirmation and they appear to be upper case.

apparently so. I had to re-enter the passwords for a couple of my old kits to over-ride the stored ones which apparently had been entered with lower case.
