And did you try now using uppercase?
If so - will it also accept lower case now?
If you had used upper case before, and now it will only accept upper case, then it is consistent with what I suggest above - that it is now case sensitive, and the old passwords are "locked in" to the choice you had been using.

So, yes, what loobster says about "locking in" makes sense.

FTDNA originally sent Passwords with an Letters listed as Uppper Case, but the password was not Case Sensitive.
Now they are Case Sensitive - and for the old passwords - am guessing -- if you were using them lower case, FTDNA, in effect, locked them in as lower case, while if you were using them as Upper Case, they "locked them in" as Upper Case.
Does this make sense to folks? And is it what others are seeing?

And the new Kit only works with upper-case.
Wonder if it was done on purpose, and if so, why?

Tried several times each way - same result, if lower case letters, then did not match; if upper case letters, got in.
Tried kits I ordered in the past - and for them, the password still not case sensitive.
Anybody know when this changed, or ???
