    Hello!

As I know, FTDNA is making tests for MH and I believe you've made my test for MH

Do you store this tests for future analysis? I'd like to make some additional analysis on y and mt haplogroups without sending package.

I've heard that you planned to make Autosomal transfer from MH raw data to your database in Spring 2017. Any news on this? When I tried to transfer - I've got error.

You need to contact FTDNA directly to get the answers to your questions.

This is a customer forum, not a FTDNA support area.

That would be very cool, not to need to order another one kit just to take samples for mDNA and Y tests. That could spare a lot of time receiving and sending kits with samples back. Me and my brother would appreciate this option very much!

I contacted them back in April, soon after I transferred my data from MyHeritage. I asked them if they could analyse my ydna from the sample I had already sent, since it's supposedly stored at the same lab. And I had special interest in that since I don't live in the USA and the posting costs from here are almost as expensive as the test itself. This is what they answered:

          Hello,

Upgrades ordered to kit B------ would require a sample kit be sent and the testers sample returned.

          Best,

Hello,As you said you had transferred you results from MyHeritage to familytreedna I was wondering if you would be so kind as to explain it to me how you did it as I am not very good at doing that.I need to transfer data for a kit that I manage there.

            Thank you in advance.

              Hi,

First you must select "Autosomal Transfer" and then choose "MyHeritage". You won't need to upload your raw data. Instead, they will redirect you to MyHeritage so you can log in and then select the person you want. If you manage multiple kits in MyHeritage you'll have to create a different FTDNA account for each.
