    The engineering team is aware of the issues with the Pending and Unreceived kit section. I don't have a time frame on a fix yet though.

    Pending Shipments to Lab is a complete mess.
    Most Kit# are form the Unreceived Kits, but some with wrong names.
    The Product shows again from the Unreceived kits, not the actual tests ordered and waiting to be batched.

    Just a clarification regarding the above only the Pending Shipment to lab category had changes, there were no changed made to unreceived kits.

    Not receiving email notifications

    I found out today as my co-admin shared an email request to join the project, that I did not receive an email for that. I went to approve the requester, and my co-admin asked if I got the email that indicated that they joined the group. Not even that. And apparently an email was sent out yesterday or today about an update to myGroups, and I did not get that either.

    I was getting all emails fine up until today. Not sure what's going on.

    Can you please PM me with project and kit numbers so I can send it to the engineering team as to why those are still appearing.

    I have no update at this time for the Big Y novel variants or email notification issues. When I get something I will let you know though.

    Unreceived or Pending Shipment to Lab ??

    Unreceived still shows all transfers, plus new kits purchased, but not yet returned to FTDNA.

    Pending Shipment to Lab is showing 2 new kits and 1 transfer (who ordered an additional snp so needed a physical kit). All three of these kits are showing in Pending Shipment AND Unreceived.

    I have sent in an inquiry/feedback about this because I am not sure what the status is for any of those 3. 2 were supposed to have been sent back a little over a week ago, so it would be time for them to have been received. The third, I am still confirming if it was sent.

    Deep Sigh! A lot of little details are really starting to add up and impact both the perception of accuracy, company focus and user experience.

    Any progress on resolving the Big Y problem where Novel variants don't appear in the drop down on the match page. Until a few weeks ago, all variants shared with at least one match within 4 known SNPs was listed. Now, it just says Show All.

    Notification emails to admins

    Since late December I have had issues with project notification emails for new members, new results etc..
    I have had several emails from IT specialists who insist it is my email provider.

    I have changed my email, yet still have problems.

    No emails for new members joining the projects, yet we do have new members..

    Yes, I have checked my email settings, and all 5 projects they are set up to receive emails for,;
    - New members,
    - New Y DNA results,
    - New matches at 67 markers etc..

    In ther last week I have received a few notifications to let me know some members have new matches.

    There have been no notifications of new members, when I can see there are new members.

    In the last 15 minutes I have received emails to say I have new results in.
    These results have actually been in for nearly 2 weeks.
    WOW......

    Today one of my Co Admins says she is having the same issue.

    It cannot be just us, we do not live in the same country, we do not have the same email or provider.
    Our project settings are set to receive these emails.

    What are FTDNA doing about this.
    I'm getting sick of putting in Feedback and requests to Helpdesk etc... Just to gett a bland reply, 'It's your email provider....'

    The Pending Shipment To Lab report in my GAP appears to be less than perfect...
    • It shows the unreceived kit. It used to show only kits after they were received by FTDNA.
    • The Name field does not match the name on the kit (the Name field in the Unreceived Kits report is correct).
    Anybody else seeing anything like that?

    Hello all,

    I wanted to post a few things that have been pushed through today.

    When group admins suggest new SNPs we will now reply to the request with the SNP position. Having the SNP position in the email is the only way an admin would know which of their submissions had just been fulfilled.

    The Pending Shipment to Lab on the group admin page has been updated so it will no longer show tests where no kit is actually going to the lab, such as transfers.

    The mtDNA Full Sequence FASTA broken link has now been corrected.

    The BAM file expiring link bug has been corrected and the link will now expire in 14 days versus 1 hour.
