We don't have it yet. The link I gave is just to what they are saying it will be like whenever they introduce it.

Privacy issue with interactive trees
It appears, from what I'm seeing on the sample screens provided, that we will be able to drag and drop any of our matches into our tree at will. This means that all of our other matches (including the majority who are not even matches in common)will be able to see that person's name, know that they tested, and will likely assume that the relationship claimed is correct.
Again, I think it's essential that our matches give their consent to this. Some exceptions might be made for deceased or inactive project members who don't respond to requests for consent within a reasonable space of time.

And, for what it's worth, people could actually do this right now if they really wanted to -- they would just need to enter the names in an external family tree program and then upload the GEDCOM. So it's not like we're giving people the ability to do something that they could never do before. Sure, they couldn't just drag and drop before, but still...

I like simplicity, especially for DNA work, and I don't like rollover or pop-up items that can't be copied easily and pasted into spreadsheets.

I didn't mean they'd be claiming their matches as siblings or parents, or just out of the blue. I meant they'd construct purely speculative ancestral lines and then attach the matches as cousins. Rationale: If you're my cousin, and you're descended from this line, I can claim it. Triangulation, tri-schmangulation! Who needs it?
This, and the exposure of matches' names to a wider group of matches, is what I had in mind. Requiring an OK from the match before they can be added would solve the problem.

Confused
I'm a little confused by the new tree-making program. Is it as simple as the one on 23 and Me, where one just clicks and starts out with parents, grandparents and the like to as many past generations as we know about? I do not understand the new tool. I see no directions and I am not one to experiment with that type of thing.

New tree
Many of the names I posted on my original gedcom upload are missing--the scary thing is that if I go through the tree from my own account/page the names are there, but if I view my tree from the account of one of my matches many of the names are missing. Also, the "search" function does not seem to work.

It's pretty but you can't link people to profiles by Kit # and you can't connect multiple instances of people in the same tree (I have multiple instances of the same person just sitting there in my tree because the software won't realize it's the same person). This renders it mostly useless.
