  • PLANNED MAINTENANCE: Tuesday, August 12, 7:15am - 8am CDT

Family Tree DNA's websites will be offline on Tuesday, August 12 between 7:15am-8am Central Daylight Time (UTC-5) while our engineers perform some maintenance. Thank you in advance for your patience during this brief downtime!

(Our public website, GAP and myFTDNA will be affected by this outage. I believe the forums will remain online.)

So what did this do? It didn't fix the Houston problem where GAPs try to look at FF results.

It's still down, and I am trying to order an important y-dna test for an 80-year-old gentleman, who, if he matches me, may finally be the vehicle of my breakthrough to the immigrant!

      Yikes!

Not down here, but I can´t see any improvements.

It was only down a short time and I don't think anything else was planned but some house-keeping/maintenance. It's just that FTDNA has misplaced all web pages but the one promising "Exciting new functions" - they have used that now for several plain maintenance downtimes...

I can't login to my GAP pages, but I can get in to my own personal page.

I need to be able to login to my GAP pages.

Okay, I'm back in. Apparently I needed to clear my cookies and cache. That worked.

The maintenance completed successfully on-time at 8am CDT this morning. All sites should be up and working again.

Correct, the work done in today's maintenance isn't visible to customers. I've asked IT to please change the text on the default maintenance page, but all I can do is ask

At least they told us in advance for a change.

Yeah, they told us in advance that they are going to take 1/2 hour to totally mess things up so we get more Houston errors.

                    Pitiful.

                      Hi all,

The fix for the kit authorization bug ties into the fix for Family Finder pages not displaying when impersonating via GAP.

At present the code associated with the fixes for both issues is being reviewed and tested and should be released no later than Monday barring any additional issues popping up during the review process.
