  • New Pop Finder/MyOrigins?

Any word on when the new Pop Finder, MyOrigins, will roll out? I thought it was supposed to be today.

Seems it won't be today after all. http://forums.familytreedna.com/show...=34523&page=14

      Perhaps next week.

The map popfinder produced for me was Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Belgium and the Western Isles at 98%

In fact the great majority of my matches are Scandinavians, Western Islanders, Poles and Russians but this is not reflected in the map.

Why is this so I wonder?

As part of the beta phase of myOrigins, project administrators can view the myOrigins results for any project member who has Family Finder results.

Only those project members who have native FTDNA Family Finder results. I myself transferred data from 23andMe into Family Finder, but even as project administrator I have no ability to see myOrigins for myself. I can see it for others, though, who ordered Family Finder itself from FTDNA.

Log on to your GAP page. There should be a box at the top explaining the beta test with option to click here. You will get a list of people in your project and can click view for those who have not opted out.

                      Thanks, found it.
The results are the same between the old and the new PF for all of the people in my project. It just looks better.
