INFORMATION SPECIALIST
Job Description:
The Information Specialist I is an entry-level position requiring detailed responses to a high volume of e-mails, answering a high volume of phone inquiries, in-depth understanding of testing offered, and potential interpretation of non-medical genetic test results for clients in the rapidly growing field of genetic genealogy. This is an office position, not a lab position.
Specialists are expected to meet minimum production goals weekly and monthly, with an expectation of phone contact roughly 7 hours per day. Professionalism with a diverse cliental is vital. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional client education and support for a sometimes difficult-to-understand product. Must be available for rotating Saturday schedule as necessary. Must be computer proficient and type 45 wpm.
Requirements: BA or BS in a related field, such as Biology, Genealogy, Jewish Studies, Anthropology, History, or other Social Science. Bilingual English with Spanish, Arabic, or Russian fluency will be given preference. On-the-job training is provided for the specific products and interpretations.
