    @dosbears,
    Love the name BTW!
Yeah, I received an email late last night that my brother had a 67 marker match. I was thrilled thinking maybe he can finally have a 0 step match. No, nothing, no match. Oh well...

    Batch 558

I'm having trouble of long wait time and delays for my family finder. I transferred from NG on 2/19.
    Placed order 2/19 (2/20)
    First delivery date 4/15
    Second delivery date 5/7
    Third delivery date 6/4

Each time I've called in and have been told that their was an issue with the upload and expect if corrected by the date or sooner. Currently I have this message:
Results for your Family Finder test have been delayed. We have updated your predicted completion date, and action by you is not usually required. Note that predicted dates are an estimate and subject to lab volume and quality control. There are several possible reasons for the delay. The first is that you have only recently sent back a new DNA collection kit. The second is that we are waiting for you to send back a new DNA collection kit. The third is elevated lab demand for this test. Less commonly, your sample failed. In this case, if we have an unused vial in storage, we have begun extracting DNA from it. If we need a new sample and do not have one in storage, we will mail another DNA kit to your address on file.

    What's the delay?

I received a similar message today. My father's FF results were expected this week. Now delayed until early May. That makes a wait of 3 months!

Is this a user specific message or has the test batch gone sour? Thats a very long wait time for me now as the test was meant to have been completed on 14 April.

I have been getting around the issue of Xing out the in common match run by just reloading the matches from the main toolbar instead.

I just got hung up by searching surnames on my matches. I had done a couple with success then all of sudden am hung up. Had to restart computer to get FTDNA working again.

I am using internet explorer and have no such issues when logging on and using other websites.
About 3 weeks ago I was having all sorts of problems with my computer. Then had my laptop serviced. When that didn't work a tech adjusted my WiFi box. Since then I have had no problems with internet explorer, EXCEPT with this site. To use FTDNA, I still have to use Google Chrome. At least I have that option.

For the last 4 weeks, the name and ancestral surname features on my family finder match page has not been working. I'll type in a name and the page more or less freezes to where I have to log out and log back in. Also, when I'm finished looking at an in common list and I click the X to get back to my list, the page will more or less freeze to were I have to log out and log back in.

What I have done to bypass many of these issues is use Google Chrome instead of internet explored. With Google Chrome, the only features not working are the name and ancestral surname features on my family finder match page. Everything else is OK. On internet explored, I still get stuck.

    Carol,

The team thinks they have the underlying problem fixed. For it to start working, you need to do these things.
    • Log out of all FTDNA accounts.
    • Clear your browser cache.
    • Clear your browser history.
    • Clear the cookies on your browser back to the very beginning of time.
    • Close your browser.
    • Convince Sam to grill something for dinner. ;-)
    • Reopen your browser and try logging back into the GAP from https://www.familytreedna.com/login.aspx.
