If a match has setup a photo in their profile this appears on matches page e.g. https://my.familytreedna.com/family-finder/matches.aspx
The thumbnail is being served as http instead of https which makes browsers report that connection is untrusted. (The browser doesn't tell you it is just the thumbnail that is not encrypted so you would be just left wondering what is and what isn't encrypted)

Hi Rebekah,

The project member does have mtFull results. To check on what she reported, this evening, I attempted to download my own FASTA file (Full-sequence / FMS) and received the same error message that she did. Thanks for looking into this!

The Home page displays and old date for most recent updates while the content once one goes to mtDNA, FF, YDNA is correct. This happens on a sample of the kits I am managing.

These were fixed yesterday now there broken again

GEDCOMs do not display all dates & places.
GEDCOM viewer links point back to the user's GEDCOM.

I am not sure that this has anything to do with where the login attempt occurs. Users seem to be redirected to my.familytreedna.com after a successful login and this appears to be where the interaction with the cookie occurs causing them to then be redirected back to the login screen.

It does not appear to be browser specific. Unfortunately without looking at the code I can only provide the cookie deletion work around.

FTDNA Website Access & use Problems

What has happened to the FTDNA website? 4 days ago I had no problem logging on, but for the past few days it just hangs...

The DNA email lists are blowing up right now with the same question.

Is the sky falling? It would be nice if we could get some idea as to the problem(s) and when it will be fixed...

Thank you. Perhaps a suggestion for the next time would be to create a dummy page could be created that notifies customers of FTDNA's intentions [saying what you've noted here] would go a long way to quelling customer reactions to this type of maintenance without warning notices.

Site Fixes Today

Hi,

We pushed several changes to address site speed today. We also pushed fixes to these issues:

• GEDCOMs should now upload even when they have a blank field.
  • The missing fields are still an issue.
• Upload of Ancestry.com and 23andMe V3 files works again.
• Contact information in myFTDNA can be updated.

Join Projects

Maybe I'm hallucinating, but is the Join Projects option nowhere to be found? I went under Manage Projects, and can see current projects, but no way to join new ones.

I have a member who is waiting for a return on a snp- it was due on 3/11. There is nothing in the notes and he is still waiting.

I am also waiting (Batch 553 I think) for my Mt results, due tomorrow. I am assuming that they will be delayed as well.

Can you clarify or should I call tomorrow?

For 2 days my son's kit says there is a new Ydna match & also a new mtdna match. Not showing up. And...if he got a new mtdna match, then I would get one too, but none for me & no notice either. So it looks like a bug
