Nope, not working for me either.
Nothing much is working, same as yesterday and the whole website is going at a snails pace.

I had 4 new matches yesterday, but all came up with the 'Houston' problem. Now today I can't tell who they are 'cos I've logged out and in again since then.
The whole site is completely unusable right now.

          Chromosome Browser

          Hi,

I am told that the Show in Table functionality of the Chromosome Browser in myFTDNA should be back. Thank you.

It seems to be working now. And things seem to be loading a little faster than yesterday, thank goodness!

I just got 2 "Houston we got a problem" messages trying to look at my mtdna J group and another group. I got the message yesterday, too, but I can't remember what I was looking at.

                Hi,

Please continue to document and report them. Kit numbers and the page you were on when it happened help. We thought we fixed the problems two days ago, but must not have.

Kit# B516 is now missing Family Finder from the myFTDNA page. Clicking the link takes me to the order screen instead.

All the project pages I've attempted to access also have the Houston, we have a problem! messages.

A lot of the transfer kits are missing .. I placed a call to someone.. I THINK what they tried to do is correct the stats as none of those were "reported" before..
However now they are missing.. Mine and my son's are missing from all the groups I put us in..2 for him and 3 for me..

                          Hi,

We encourage staff to enjoy full lunches. :-) The phones will be back on shortly.

I wonder why they don't have a message letting callers know they are out from 12:00 till 1:00 for lunch on Fridays. I guess that would be to easy.

I wonder why they didn't send out a message letting their customers and admins know there was going to be a major modification made to the system. I guess that would have been too easy also.

So little effort to make many people happy.

                            Seems like SOP these days!

I'm less concerned with conspiratorial notions than with the apparent lack of a robust test system for the FTDNA web site.

Yes, there may be some cost involved in setting up a good test system, but it's definitely worth the effort to detect and fix errors before they are rolled into production for the whole world to see. Any business that depends on its web site needs to have a complete parallel test system, a configuration management process, and a production implementation process. It can be done, and in the long run, the IT staff will be grateful it was done. Developing a good test plan was how this programmer got his life back -- no more calls in the middle of the night!

It was on the homepage. Michelle and I requested that it be added back to the contact page.

I am working on it, Jim. To the very best of my ability, I am working on it. There is hope. :-)
