My Y67 came in today.

My 2 Morris matches from Y37 held up and I gained a new match at Y67 who claims a Y line pedigree back to the early Welsh Kings that adds some extra interest to the results. My close Smethers matches at Y25 who vanished at Y37 did not make a reappearance at Y67.

My P312 project admin did not see any downstream likely SNP indicators from my STR results so if I want to go any further down the rabbit hole I need to consider whether to play the SNP lottery or upgrade to a Y111.

In the meantime I am exploring other territory having ordered a combined FF +MTDNA for my son.

Yup, waiting on 67-111 upgrade.

I'm waiting for my HVR1 to FGS upgrade, which was due back yesterday. I just checked my pending results page and found this message:

"If you have ordered the mtDNA full sequence (FGS), your result for this portion of the mtDNA will arrive with your full sequence results. Please refer to the target date and status description of your pending FGS test for an update. If you have not ordered the mtDNA full sequence, this test failed to yield results for your sample. Your sample is being rerun now. Results from this round of testing are expected by this date."

The new expected date is September 24th. If I remember correctly, batch 473 was the first batch to go out during the last sale, so it makes sense that everything is so backed up.

Im in batch 472 and my Mtdna (fgs) results were due on 27/9/12. I received the same message that day. Mine are now due 17/9/12. It was ordered in the last sale.


I also have nearly 12000 hvr1 matches, normally I get matches every day I havent had any since 29/8/12. Normally when i dont get any Hvr1 results for a few days, FF results come in. Well they came in last friday. I wonder if they are now concentrating on the HVR2 and coding region results at the moment. Fingers crossed.

Hell yes, my mtDNA full sequence just came in. I'm apparently in haplogroup H4a. Interesting.
