another postponement

My cousin's results just got another postponement.

This one is the YDNA 37-to-67 upgrade in 445. Originally due today, 12 March; with no fanfare or explanation, the due date was just changed to 2 April.

Mine was due today, and the delivery of my results was postponed to April 23. Well, the explanation was that my sample failed to yield results, and that it will be rerun again fr a third time. I'm glad I didn't order the mtDNA test and a full Y DNA profile.
I'm a project administrator for my surname project and the whole family was awaiting the results, because at the 12 marker level I match with people outside my haplogroup. I've read that that it's possible with just 12 markers to get spurious matches. That's why I ordered the Y refine, just to be sure.
The Y haplogroup test ignited a controversy in my paternal family because the results were unexpected, and before ordering their own test done, they were waiting for me to get more markers. Now I guess I'll just have to call it quits and shut the project down.
I've even started a Facebook page and a blog and have attracted people from all over the world who share my surname and are still awaiting for my last update (since February this year when the refine test results were expected).
Perhaps it's time to try something else, Genetree?

I bet it's your mtDNA results you're waiting for. I'm in exactly the same situation - new sample included. Definitely frustrating, but we'll just have to be patient until May (14th in my case). I'm also waiting for an SNP result which is still showing a due date of 2nd April. I'm sure they'll be doing their best.

I'm sure they are. I'm waiting for my Y refine 12-25, also due May 14th. It's just that... I want the results, that's all.
