My guess is you could get your mtDNA well before that date, and you can 'play' with that to help you pass the days until the Y arrives ...

lol, that's what i'm afraid of. Even waiting for my kits to arrive there was torture for me!

But at least for a little while I can distract myself with the fact that for whatever reason, only 1 of my kits made it to them.

Waiting for FGS

I'm in this batch for a mtDNA FGS. Due 2011-08-29 but hopefully it will arrive early as all results have been doing so far

My cousin's 37 marker Y-DNA test is in this batch. Markers 1-12 due 26 Aug, the rest 9 Sep. I'm hoping they're early, of course. Mine were finished a few weeks early, and my recent upgrade to 67 markers was a full month ahead of schedule.

Although my 67 marker results have been put back yet another 3 weeks (Batch 414), I see that, for now at least, my Batch 421 is still the same announced date 8/29/2011. I checked again, and it is definitely 2011. ;-)

Not hopeful, though, if everyone is sliding backwards ...

Hi Katerennie, sorry for the delay, I'm in Merrie Olde England, it was an upgrade, they tested for;
L6, P89.2, L217, L297, L325, all negative, so I am still U-106+.

thanks for the update It sounds like FTDNA's been fairly quick on the upgrades, but slow on the new kits. Although I was hoping mine would come in early, now I'm just hoping they come on time!
