This may help I have e-mailed some of my matches from Affy to see if they have Illumina some have and some do not. I know a few who do have their Illumina results I no longer have and I did e-mail FTDNA about 1 such match and this is their response ( ) I took out the persons name.

"Thank you for your email. We see this occasionally with the new Illumina results where distant cousins that were shown with Affy do not match enough to show as a match for the Illumina format. Your uncle and your cousin showed enough common DNA still with( ) to warrant a further match, but we did not find enough matching segments for your Illumina comparison with him to meet the threshold of 5th to distant cousin. Illumina does not test the same SNPs as Affy and the beginning and ending segments will not always be the same, and this can produce a change in the overall total number of shared segments and longest segments".

I also have another match I and my uncle both got A but I had her uncle D before but did not get him with Illumina my uncle went right into illumina even though I ordered the test last Nov it did not get done until Feb. So I have no way of knowing if my uncle would have gotten A's Uncle.

On this particular situation FTDNA told me not all the same chromosomes are being tested but more chromosomes are being tested under Illumina than Affy. I hope I put that correctly and because of this you may not see all the same matches .

All the matches you have with Affy and Illumina are all supposed to be related to you.

Judy, why not email them and ask if they have had Illumina results.

If the conversions are only less than half way through, (See Dexters post) its going to be a while for everyone to be converted.

I called customer service about my batch 400 conversion results today. The were able to tell me that my first test had failed. They tried to inquire about my current status but were not able to get any useful information. I guess I'm out of the game.

Since I have received some Illumina and converted Affy results, I can assume that my test has not failed. However, some of my match's tests may have failed. I guess I will wait and see what this week brings as Matt said we may see another release of batch 400 results coming up.

I am getting a little separation anxiety wondering where my other 28 Affy matches are! They were real relative matches, right?! I mean I have spent time communicating back and forth with many of them, and we have shared information, so I would hope that they remain as a relative match under Illumina.

With Affy I have 52 matches and so far with "Illy" I have 22, so on that measure I guess they're 42% done.

I am batch 400, and requested the coversion within an hour of receiving notification. Started receiving new Illumina and converted Affy matches 2/28, but the two other kits I manage didn't start receiving upgraded results for two and three weeks later, respectively, despite those conversion requests being submitted within minutes of my first one. Therefore, I think it is safe to say that for whatever reason (lab QA/QC requirements or whatever), there is no hard and fast rule for when results will be released.

Since 2/28, only 5 of my 33 Affy's have been converted over to Illumina. I have a total of 19 matches in Illumina to date (including the 5 Affy conversions).

Looks like some of us are going to have to wait longer than others.

Well as im in batch 400 and have not have the conversion results, FTDNA cannot have finnished 400.

I'm 1 of 9 project members of one project with NO "batch 400 upgrade" results. If they finished last week, what happened to us?

batch 400 was about 3/4 to 7/8 done later last week. At the rate they are going I'd expect it to be done later this week or sometime next.

They have been getting out 3 sets of tests a week lately so things are going good.

Once batch 400 is done then about 45% of the Affy tests will have been converted.

Are there any revised projections?

If 400 is almost done, why isn't 399? A lot of my stuff is still pending or not posted yet? I am new to this, so am I missing something? Thanks!

I meant the Family Finder Illumina conversions that are in batch 400. There are other tests (yDNA, mtDNA, etc.) in batch 400 that will end up with different due dates.

Hello,

I am in batch 401 and the date shown is 4/20/2011 so I think it is safe to say your date means Apr 6th.

I hope sooner.

Well my due date is back to 30th of March.
The due date seems to be the only thing moving.
The 2 to 3 weeks for conversion certainly didnt happen. I think its 6 weeks since I confirmed.

You are not alone. I ordered immediately after receiving the email. I hope 04/06/2011 doesn't mean June 4, 2011.
