Batch 400 FF Conversions due 4/6

My FF is not a conversion, but a new order to an existing kit (the Facebook sale) and is also in Batch 400, expected 04/04/2011.

My results were posted today, so they must be doing both new purchases and conversions. Thirty matches, three that I recognize from 23andMe. I poked through the few GEDCOMs and saw some familiar surnames, but no obvious connections. I thought I might lurk awhile and wait for the contacts to come calling.

Well, as it happens I was illuminated and converted overnight.

Illumina: 20 matches

That's quite a reduction!

I haven't yet downloaded and cross-compared to see who I have gained and who I have lost.

Dont forget that you will not see all your matches in the new version until all tests have been upgraded.
I'm still waiting on mine to be upgraded and I signed up on the first day of the announcement.
Then there will be people who didnt bother signin up but just waited for the upgrade.

On the upside, I have received a query from one of my matches who is also on the Affy list, but who currently shows as my only "Close and Immediate" match, albeit at suggested 4th cousin level.

I guess I'm possibly showing similarly as his closest Illumina match as things stand at the moment.

Okay, now to correspond and see what we know, or more likely don't know.

I'm sure my pending result was 6th of April, then it went to 30 of March, now its back to 6th of April again.

Conversions How much longer

Does any one know how far along is FTDNA with the conversions?

Mine has been done but I like to keep up to date with this if I can.

batch 400 was about 3/4 to 7/8 done later last week. At the rate they are going I'd expect it to be done later this week or sometime next.

They have been getting out 3 sets of tests a week lately so things are going good.

Once batch 400 is done then about 45% of the Affy tests will have been converted.

This does not bode well. LOL if they have 45 percent of the conversions done and I have three of my 27 former family members still, what does that mean? It looks to me statistically that I will lose 20/27 of my matches.

I hear my mysterious cousin Daniel Vannoy has been converted and we have no match. I am letting FTDNA know right now, that I expect an explanation for each relative I lose. I spent a lot of time on these "family members" and either we're still related (and therefore our pages should not disappear once the conversion is complete) or not-in which case they owe me a lot of time. There's just something funky going on.

If 400 is almost done, why isn't 399? A lot of my stuff is still pending or not posted yet? I am new to this, so am I missing something? Thanks!

Well my due date is back to 30th of March.
The due date seems to be the only thing moving.
The 2 to 3 weeks for conversion certainly didnt happen. I think its 6 weeks since I confirmed.

You are not alone. I ordered immediately after receiving the email. I hope 04/06/2011 doesn't mean June 4, 2011.

Hello,

I am in batch 401 and the date shown is 4/20/2011 so I think it is safe to say your date means Apr 6th.

I hope sooner.

I meant the Family Finder Illumina conversions that are in batch 400. There are other tests (yDNA, mtDNA, etc.) in batch 400 that will end up with different due dates.
