    Congratulations, Basque

V is pretty rare, isn't it? I think Bryan Sykes called it Velda in his book, The Seven Daughters of Eve.

edit: here is some info on V, from wikipedia
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup_V_%28mtDNA%29
It is found with particularly high concentrations in the Sami People of northern Scandinavia, as well as the Basque people (10.4%) and somewhat higher among the isolated Pasiegos in nearby Cantabria. It also is found in particularly high concentrations (16.3%) among the Berbers of Matmata, Tunisia. The highest levels are in Scandinavian and Western and North African populations. It is spread at varying low levels across Europe and smaller portions of West and Central Asia.

I don't think you misread it. It was probably changed. I had a change like that.

O.k. my new due date is 06/18/2010. Either it was changed or I misread it. Probably the latter.

Maybe they found out you're not a V and they're afraid to tell you, Basque.
what perhaps I am part somthing they have never encounted my new date is 18th June, I think I will get my 23&me results soon so at least I will have something to be going on with, and my husbands Y+mt results are due this month.

    Unbelieveable...

Again, no results and my date has been pushed back to 6/18. FTDNA has lost me as a future customer! After 8 years every possible mtDNA test, this is just insane.

    I don't know what's going on but I feel it's not good.

    Give FTDNA a call.

I'm in 348 and 11 weeks after receipt of my kit I've heard nothing, so I called and pressed for an explanation. A day later I got an email saying they they are having trouble with my first sample and are trying the second. 11 weeks is a long time to get around to that!

I might taste bitter, but I'm not.
Everyone is having this new test done.
There might be 199,000 ahead of me.
    Oh well.
