Well the good news for most tests is that these days it does not take the whole 8 weeks.

      What are you getting tested?

          Batch 237

          First-timer here also.....

I'm having the Y-67 test done and my first 12 markers are scheduled for 2/2/2008 now with the rest scheduled for 2/14/2008 and 2/16/2008. I've found these have taken a little less time than I originally expected.

Check your MyFTDNA page -- there should be an estimated completion date there.

                  wilmac,

Your money hasn't been wasted at all. Some tests don't run successfully the first time, so they have to be re-run, and that adds some delay. FTDNA tries to update each person's page when there are delays, but sometimes the page doesn't get updated right away.

If you want FTDNA to look into why your test in particular is delayed, you can email or call them -- see their Contact page:

                  http://www.familytreedna.com/contact.html

FTDNA has very good customer service, so you should get a response usually within a day, sometimes within hours.
