Have two X-STR Panels in this batch. No results due date given but the last two panels came back in spurts and overall the results were pretty quick.

I was told new tests are turning-around faster than upgrades and I thought that was because they had to thaw the DNA (Brrrrrr!) but my Deep SNP on a thoroughly iced sample came back in a month.

        The lab is cookin'!!!!

          Newbie Here

Hi I'm new here & have much to learn.

I sent my dna samples recently and my page states a batch 225 was created. What is the difference between a batch 225 and another numbered batch?

Orders for tests are sent to the lab in batches. Typically, one batch is sent each week, typically around Wednesday evening. The nominal due dates of all the tests in a given batch are typically close together. But this may or may not reflect how things turn out in the end, because some tests run well the first time, whereas others may need to be rerun.

Today, two separate batches were created (226 and 227), for reasons unknown.

That was on 10/12 just nine days after batching. Nothing since. Waiting for test results is like watching paint dry ... and I am, co-incidentally, also watching varnish dry.

                            Patience is over-rated.
