hi guys! i'm so new to all of this that i don't even know what creating a batch means... the reason i had my mtDNA tested is because i'd like to know if i have Hebrew ancestory... my great, great grandmother's name was matilda cohen, or cowen, depending on who i talk to... i do know she came from scottland... i personally hope that i am of hebrew linage, as i have a love for all things hebrew and study the 2 houses of Israel with great interest and dedication... my test results are quite a ways off, but my biggest fear is not being able to understand the results when they arrive... not looking for anything too indepth, just would like to know if i'm a part of the lost tribes of Israel... who can point me in the right direction? thanks in advance, deborah

When you get your results, either post them in the mtDNA forum directly, or upload your results into a Ysearch entry and tell us your Ysearch ID.

Of course, you may be able to make some guesses just from the list of matches on your mtDNA Matches tab.

Happy for you.

First off congratulations on your test results. What kind of test was it. Did you already have your sample there or did you have to submit a new one. My batch 172 21 days overdue, batch 174 overdue 8 days. Hope they both come in soon.

If you can use batch numbers as a marker to guide, my Batch 171 13-25 YDNA test was due Nov. 8. As of yet I haven't received it or any change in the words on my "Tests Pending" notification. Reading other people's posts I have found out about the delays.
