I'm jealous. My project has plenty of tests in batches 158 and 159 that have no results yet.

But congratulations to your lucky project member!

I'm jealous too, I have several tests for my own family pending in earlier batches!

He still has 26-37 and a DeepSNP-J pending, both due mid-August.
Update: DeepSNP-J was received on 7/28. Still waiting on 26-37.

Outstanding. I'm dreaming of some early 67-marker results.

                That would be nice.

                  SNP results

Just received my cousin's SNP results in this batch. Quite early. Due 8/21.

                  Here are the results

                  R1b1c
                  M173+ M207+ M269+ M343+ P25+ M126- M18- M222- M65- M73- P66- SRY2627-

Here is a portion of the email today from FTDNA:

"Remember the Haplogroup classification WILL change as the tree evolves,
however the test that you are positive for will NOT change. For example
                  we recently re-assigned P-25 from R1b to R1b1, as M343 (now R1b) is the
node of the tree in-between R1 and R1b1. We will update your specific
Haplogroup definition automatically in the future as the tree evolves and
                  in agreement with scientific papers."

Ok, I am ready for input from anyone who wants to weigh in on these results. What I am confused about it that they show P25+, yet I was told the sample was M343+, P25-, an unusual result, causing this sample to be sent to the science testing lab. And, in the meantime this SNP testing was being given complementary due to the length of time involved in testing for the unusal M343+, P25-. Does this mean the P25- reading before was incorrect?

Are there more results to come or is R1b1c as deep as it goes??

I am in the Davis Surname Project /YSearch User ID #4TWBD
My immigrant ancestor and country of origin is unknown.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Re-read the information and I realize SNP testing is ongoing. Tell me if I have this right, according to SNP Tree at www.isogg.org, I have results outstanding for 1(M37), 4(M153) and 5(M160). Thanks.

                      email from FTDNA

Received a response today from FTDNA. I asked about the discrepancy of my cousin's sample testing P25- yet it being reported as P25+ on my personal page. Here is the response:

"Our system is set up to reject records with inconsistent results like P25- yet M269+. Your sample did test P25- and M269+ with the Deep Clade test, and for the sake of getting the partial results uploaded to your personal page we uploaded it as P25+ since the sample definitely belongs within the clade P25 defines. WeÂ’re investigating whether it is possible to have the system also recognize results with a P25- and M269+ as R1b1c, and if we are able to successfully implement that then your results list will be changed accordingly."

This is for a project member. Can only hope that my own family's results arrive early like this one did

                              Early results!

I just received ALL of my 67-marker upgrade this morning.

                              BOOM! Ten days early!!!

                              Yeah, baby!

                              Thank you, FTDNA! Splendid work!

I have already uploaded the new markers into YSearch.

As I anticipated, I have no 67-marker matches.

But that's okay. I ordered the upgrade to help with R1b research and for personal satisfaction.

And, if and when a real relative comes along and has his dna tested, I'll be ready!
