      Should I be worrying?

        No, not at all.

Do you have an "expected results" date or target date?

Anyway, it generally takes a couple of months from batch creation to results. Sometimes folks get their results early. Sometimes they get them a bit late, if there is a problem.

My first test, Y-37, came in exactly on time as predicted by FTDNA. My second test, a Deep SNP-R1b, came in nearly a month early, but a couple of the SNPs (M37, P66) are still pending (which is okay, since the original target date wasn't until July 17th anyway).

I have a 67-marker upgrade in Batch 160 that has an expected results date of August 21st.

The DNA Isolation step takes about 13 days, so you should see an update on Thursday saying your test is in DNA Sequencing. Next step after that is Quality Control, then you get your results. If I remember correctly, your Target Date will appear when your test goes into DNA Sequencing.

            Fair enough.
I'll just hang tight and try not to be so impatient!
I kept telling myself "It won't be hard to just wait for updates and results, I don't know why all these other people have such an issue with it!"

            Guess I was wrong! Ha!

When I go to my husband's personal page in ftdna and click on the "Pending Lab Results" tab, I see the following information:
Test name, Expected date, and batch number.

I frequently see posts about when samples arrive for DNA Isolation or DNA at Sequencing facility. Where do I find this information for his test progress? He has mtdna testing in batch 157 and R1b sub-clade in batch 159.

                  Sue,

The detailed status is only shown for new customers who are ordering their first test. For subsequent tests, only the brief info is shown. Not sure why they do it this way, maybe they figure existing customers already know the steps the test has to go through

Issue? ISSUE???? I don't have an 'ISSUE'!!! *experiences an out of body episode and turns to stare at the screaming maniac sitting at the computer*

Ok, so maybe I do LOL. Just don't tell Jim and we'll get along just fine. Speaking of my issue, right now I'm waiting for results for batches: 146, 153, 159, and 161. I can see I need to drum up some activity for our project.

Did ya'll see that Ken said DYS511 acts like DYS462 in separating I1a AS from I1a N and UN? Pretty cool! Not that I don't endorse getting every marker tested that you can, but for some people that could save a few bucks by not having to go to another lab for 462.

Poor lonely Batch 159... Has anyone seen any results of any kind come in for this batch yet? We're waiting for two extended marker tests from this batch, no partials in yet but I can hope it will be soon.

Hey, wait your turn. Our project has first-time results (Y-DNA1-12) in batch 158 still to come, and supposedly first-timers get priority.

Wow, Richard! That sounds like pretty fast lab work to me! Hmmmm... we don't have anything coming up before #159.. then a 12 marker in #161 and a 38-67 in 162, and last night I bought an R1b SNP for someone else just to keep the flow. And our two 159's do have estimated dates of Aug 14, I just hate waiting.

Too bad we can't 'cheat' like in Fish Tycoon. But then, I got so rich it wasn't fun anymore, so I supposed there's something to be said for waiting. I am out of popcorn, though.
