    Whoopee!!!

I'm excited, but right now I'm looking forward to markers 26-37 that are due from Batch 147 on June 2 (ballpark).

But, yes, I will post in this thread.

It's my duty as an R1b Jedi.

    (It aggravates the Emperor.)
I finally got the last of my SNPs from this batch: M37- and P66-, which makes me officially R1b1c* (until another downstream SNP is discovered).

    Here they all are:

    M173+ M207+ M269+ M343+ P25+ M126- M153- M160- M18- M222- M37- M65- M73- P66- SRY2627-

    (Add S21-, S26-, S29-, S28- from my EA S series test.)

    Poop-poop-a-doop!

Actually, I've gotten good service from FTDNA. All my test results have come either on time or early, with the exception of those two stubborn SNPs, M37 and P66 (and just about everyone has had trouble with those).

I will order the mtDNA test from FTDNA soon.
I'm sure it will be surprise for you and them service will not disappoint you. You order HVR1 or HVR1 + HVR2?

Still waiting on P66 and M37 from this batch.

    Soon maybe?

I want to order a mtDNA test from FTDNA in the very near future, but I want to be confident that I will see my results in this lifetime.

Batches are created every Wednesday, composed of all test orders placed (and paid for) since the previous Wednesday. Orders are then sent to the lab in these batches. All FTDNA customers can see their batch numbers on their Pending Results tab, so anyone can create the batch thread. The batch threads simply serve as virtual waiting rooms for test results

    Just Curious

[QUOTE=Stevo]Still no M37 or P66 results from my rapidly aging Deep SNP-R1b test in this batch.

The last email I got from FTDNA said to expect P66 results around September 15 I read from time to time that a new batch (so and so number) has been created. Different people report different batches. I'm just curious and no evil is intended. What is the purpose for these announcements and how do people get selected to do this. Honesty about dates, etc., would certainly been a great step forward in terms of customer service. All my other results have either been early or ontime, but still we deserve, as paying customers, honest responses to our queries. If they don't know, then so be it. Just tell us......

It just seems odd that for the last few months nearly all of the Deep Clade tests have had to be rerun, no matter the haplogroup. And to make matters more unsure, we get absolutely no update unless we inquire and then it appears to be a blanket, coverall statement with promises of a couple of weeks more. Bah! Not very good customer service.....
    Very true.

Overall I have been pleased with what FTDNA has done for me, but I don't like being left hanging over a couple of SNPs. I especially do not like being given a date that turns out to look like merely a stalling tactic.

The honest approach - "Hey, we're having problems! We do not know when you'll get your results!" - is something I would appreciate and understand.

    Sigh . . .

    They did mean 2006, right?

According to the last email I got from FTDNA, I should get those results this Friday (or thereabouts).

Should I start holding my breath?
