I checked GP, but no results for my grandfather yet. Hopefully any day now. For some reason, I'm expecting him to be E3b. I have no basis for that expectation, though. Maybe the recent Jewish E3b thread stuck the idea in my head? I'm looking forward to seeing the actual results!
    Congratulations!

I guess we'll find out whether or not you are clairvoyant with regard to your grandfather's y-dna.

Batches are created every Wednesday. I just saw when the "batch created" box was checked and then came over here to see which batch was created that week

    Thankx for the clarification.

There is a tick mark next to each stage that he checks for from time to time, that's all, otherwise his page looks standard to me.

I'm waiting on 12 markers from this batch also, through the Genographic Project. GP doesn't give dates, so thanks for posting your July 14 target date. At least now I have a date to look forward to

I have a feeling that they did the SNP tests from this batch with the SNP tests from the previous batches since they were having so much trouble with them, especially R1b. It probably was more efficient for them to run a huge group of samples through the SNP tests at the same time, regardless of batch.

I am wondering if FTDNA / lab are closed Monday & Tuesday for the 4th of July?!

I guess it is going to be delayed by another week

Target date says July 14th, so I guess we'll just have to sit and wait till then.

BTW: How come the SNP results are out for this batch but the 12-marker tests are not?

I was under the impression that the SNP testing takes longer, but maybe I am wrong.

    Thanks, Elise.

I hope you get your grandfather's results soon.

    Three Cheers for FTDNA!!!

    I got my partial Deep SNP-R1b results . . . WAY EARLY!

Here's what I have thus far:

    R1b1c M173+ M207+ M269+ M343+ P25+ M126- M153- M160- M18- M222- M65- M73- SRY2627-

    All right!

    Thanks, FTDNA!

    Great work!

It will be a whole lot easier to wait for the rest now that I know I am confirmed as an R1b1c. It gives me new information that I can horse around with.

    I am very very pleased.

My birthday is coming up. I may just order the upgrade to 67 markers.

I took my three-year-old swimming today for awhile. Stupidly, I let myself get sunburned. Now I have a headache.

I received a nice email from FTDNA explaining that they are having difficulties with some of the SNPs in the Deep SNP testing. I am to expect partial results soon while the difficult SNPs are being rerun.

It is good to be kept abreast of what is going on.

I also like the idea that FTDNA will let me know as much as they do while they are hunting down the rest.

I cannot complain in the face of such honesty and openess. After all, dna testing is a fairly new science, and there are bound to be difficulties.

I look forward to finding out what I can while I await the whole picture.

At least FTDNA isn't telling me I'm a descendant of Genghis Khan or handing me some doggoned "Viking Certificate."

I have one pending through the GP. I'm hoping to get the results sometime this week, though I believe the "official" target date for 12-marker tests in this batch is mid-July (about 6 weeks from batch creation). GP doesn't give dates, so I've had to guestimate!

In other words, my uncle has been confirmed as haplogroup G but his membership in G2 (signaled by SNP P15) is still in doubt.
    Wow!

You already got at least some results from Batch 155?

    That's encouraging!

And they were Deep SNP results, too!

    Good, good . . .

Exact same thing happened to me. They had to re-do to re-test for P15. Turned out + finally, so its G2.
