However, I will be taking many days off this summer! In fact this coming Monday, we will be tOObin' on the river...with boat-drinks and my floating stereo! I cannot think of a better way to pass the time whilst waiting for my R1b1 SNP deep-clade resuls!
The little turd never showed up today nor did he answer his cell phone when that female student tried to call him.

Like I said, I got word through the grapevine that he and a couple of other guys stayed out of school to go see Nacho Libre, a film I want to see, too.

They didn't miss any real schoolwork, though. All we did in class today was watch the World Cup matches. I saw the very boring and one-sided Argentina-Serbia rout and the better and more exciting Dutch victory over Ivory Coast. I caught the start of the Mexico-Angola game but then had to catch my train for the hour-long commute home.

That was my work day, which was a day of glorified babysitting punctuated by graduation practice.

At least I got to watch a couple of World Cup matches.

P.S. - All the Hispanic boys love to come to my room. They beg their other teachers to let them come so they can watch the World Cup. Half the time we watch the games in Spanish.

After returning home from my monthly Sons of the American Revolution meeting, I did get the chance to catch the last 30 minutes of the USA/Italy tie...EXCITING!

Tomorrow is tOObing time as well as Monday (taking leave)! Although I do not have a summer break, I have built-up over 100 hours of vacation leave...CHA-CHING!

I purposely did not watch that game because I thought the Italian team would kill us.

        Now I'm sorry.

        I guess I missed a good one.

And to think, I watched that boring Argentina blowout of Serbia yesterday!

What's up with the Czech Republic losing to Ghana?

          Is Ghana that good?

The Czechs were my hope against Brazil.

Now I guess Argentina or Spain will have to stop them.

I would like to think that England or Germany or the Netherlands can do it, but I don't.

I have a Deep SNP-R1b test due July 17th in this batch.

I had to add that last sentence just to keep this post on-topic.

I find soccer much more boring than baseball, & I have to be pretty bored to get an interest in MLB. Give me American football any time any day, also basketball. Wait, I take it back! I thought soccer was the most boring...no, it's doubles volleyball in the Olympics! I do find curling slightly more exciting(!) than golf. I currently am being driven out of my mind waiting for the upgrade to 66 markers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Different strokes for different folks, as they say.

I like soccer and hockey and American football.

Baseball bores me to tears for some reason, unless I can actually be present in the stands drinking beer and eating hotdogs.

For me, soccer is the world's greatest sport.

Waiting for dna test results, however, is not much fun at all.

I guess it can't be helped, given the current state of technology.

Ukraine was great today in its victory over Saudi Arabia. I enjoyed that one.

The Switzerland/Togo game was also very satisfying (Switzerland won 2-0).

When I left work to ride the train home, Spain was down 1-0 to Tunisia. I was glad to see they turned that around. Spain won 3-1.

                  A fine day for y-haplogroup R!

(I realize there are certainly other haplogroups represented among the winners. I'm kidding around, folks.)

You know, I thought those were the most boring activities to watch...until I saw an episode of televised poker.

I like the new Guinness commercial with the two Irishmen who decide to wear mirrored sunglasses so no one can tell by their eyes when they are bluffing. Of course, the cards they are holding are clearly reflected in their sunglasses for all to see.

                        Excellent commercial. Excellent beer.

Too expensive, though, and best on draft anyway.

I did get fascinated with fast pitch softball during the Olympics. Too bad the Olympic committee decided to eliminate it for future games.

okay lets see since we arent helping people with problems and probably scaring them off try this
players get their salarys enormus as they are from tv . ratings run tv
no one wants to see the yankees beat the devil rays 20-2 every game
so in order for ratings to be high the games are close and maybe the rays win one or two
baseball had a strike in 94 they needed people in the park . so all of a sudden in 1995 3-4 guys beat the single season home run record by 15. 75 homers instead of 61. now we know that baseball knew steriods were being used and didn't care anything to get people in park . anyone with a brain knew they doctored the ball. this means all past records are null and void and that bobby bonds should be thrown out of baseball if shoeless joe is

also the yankees start the season with a 150 million egde on other teams and suprise they win alot. they dont pay for upkeep on yankee stadium the city does, they have the yes network and 100 mill contract for tv . the boston red sox are next with 50 million

there are 32 teams i think on opening day 22 have no chance 17 of them are triple aaa ballclubs [minor leagues]
                                ADD TO THIS
the fact players cant be fired and lose pay guarenteed contracts.
just like wrestling they have the characters and that fills seats in kansas city tampa and toronto

now the nba and nhl who cares anymore no one sees the playoffs

up until this year only one sport pro in america can players be fired for bad play Football which is why its number one

soccer, hockey, bball [basket] golf tennis are boring playing to a tie after 1.5 hrs is like kissing your sister
maybe if soccer had 3 points for bum shots 2 for head shots and four if you twirl before the bum shot doing a double flip . it might be interesting

                                rugby is kool

i guess since we dont help people here and post funny characters. so whats the difference . people go to the parks like its real at least wrestling doesn't pretend its real

maybe dna test will show which species of primate go to and play the games
