Like I said, I got word through the grapevine that he and a couple of other guys stayed out of school to go see Nacho Libre, a film I want to see, too.
They didn't miss any real schoolwork, though. All we did in class today was watch the World Cup matches. I saw the very boring and one-sided Argentina-Serbia rout and the better and more exciting Dutch victory over Ivory Coast. I caught the start of the Mexico-Angola game but then had to catch my train for the hour-long commute home.
That was my work day, which was a day of glorified babysitting punctuated by graduation practice.
At least I got to watch a couple of World Cup matches.

P.S. - All the Hispanic boys love to come to my room. They beg their other teachers to let them come so they can watch the World Cup. Half the time we watch the games in Spanish.
