If He were a Grand Uncle, you'd think He would help you out?..

Oh..well...This is a harmless sport, and a history lesson.

Or you start paying to have your relatives tested!

I'm looking ahead to some of that.

I should start a new thread and ask folks here how many of their lines they know about (dna-wise, I mean).

So far I know about two R1b lines, two and possibly three I1a lines, and the fresh discovery that my paternal grandmother's male line was R1a (still have to confirm the connection there).

I don't know anything about the mtDNA in any of my lines yet.

    Addicted .....

    Alumni 147

<Snicker> Can an individual be addicted to giving up dna and money to see what batch they are in next? LOLLLLLLLLL

On a serious note, I just ordered the refined mtdna test (only one left for me is the mega). With the testing my brother and I have done, we should be good to go!

    Good luck!

I hope you get those results today or tomorrow.

    It is exciting, isn't it?

I have a Deep SNP-R1b in Batch 155, but July 17 seems a long way off.

The Batch 150 thread was at the bottom of the first page of threads when I just looked for it in the Batch Calendar forum:

If you post to it, it'll be moved up

I don't think I'll go back to North America soon, anyway. Or maybe yes...my mother's aunt lives in Vancouver but I know it's pretty far from Niagara.
I use to live not too far south of Vancouver, B.C., in Portland, Oregon. That's beautiful country up there, but it rains way too much for my taste.

They actually advertise umbrellas on tv in Portland!

We get as much rain here in Virginia in terms of totals, but in the Pacific Northwest it comes in month-long, dismal, gray drizzles. Here in Virginia we generally get our rain in big thunderstorms and one or two-day soaking deluges.

In Portland the sun is regarded as a UFO.
