Yea...like Jessie James and the guy with the Niall in his head.

    Supposedly 12 sons.
Do you suppose he was the only male with his sequence at the time of his birth?..Well the sequence used, or called Niall is a rounding out of some N/W irish males. and a few in Scotland.

A nephew Dirty Jonny could have been the most prolific male in Ireland? They didn't dig up a Niall guy and get his dna...they just tested some local folks.

    Did Niall even exist ?

    Wow! Congratulations, cowpoke!

Are you going to move to Missouri now and start robbing trains?

I know next to nothing about mtDNA.

I looked at the mtDNA map, and it looks like T is all over Europe and into the Middle East.

    Is that right?

Just for curiosity: has anyone, whose results were due on 06/05, already received them?

    Yep.

    You'll know yours soon.

I'll be ordering mine soon and waiting until sometime in July.

In the meantime, I should have my first 37 markers to play with.

I'm sure FTDNA is right: I'm R1b1. I'm just a little closer to my R1a cousins than other R1bs are.

    M.O'Connor -

I just noticed something. Both of us have a distance of 37 between our R1b and Q scores.

The distance between your R1b and R1a scores is 56.

The distance between my R1b and R1a scores is 48.

I don't know if that shorter distance between R1b and R1a has anything to do with my showing up as R1 on the R1b Project pages.
