His I1a values must have been pretty straightforward.
I guess my own markers are not as clear.
The R1b Project has me listed as R1, even though FTDNA has predicted R1b1 and YSEARCH has me listed as R1b1. The Steffen Project (separate from the Stevens/Stephens Project) also has me down as R1.
Hey, if it turns out that I am really R1a, don't I get my SNP test for free or something like that?

Originally posted by Paul_SheatsThanks, Stevo. Yeah, but I still have markers 38-67 to go. I'm wondering now if I needed to get so many markers. I guess I won't have to upgrade on the "Y" side for a while
Are you still waiting for some of yours?
If you read my last post, you know that apparently there is some question of whether I am R1b1 or R1a.
FTDNA predicted R1b1, so I'll put my money behind that.
I'll be ordering the deep SNP thing soon. I haven't got any significant matches, so more markers doesn't seem to be the way to go.

Maybe there is a problem with those project pages. That is probably the case.
Have you run your markers through Whit Athey's Y-haplogroup Predictor here?
I did, and mine produced a score of 66 for R1b. Any score of 50 or over is supposed to be strongly indicative of membership in that y-haplogroup.
If you run yours through, let us know what kind of score you get, if you don't mind.
