Frankly, I don't know why you all are expecting results to actually arrive on time.
I am still waiting for mtDNA tests due on 5/3 as well as a 38-to-66 upgrade due on 5/15. And FTDNA's email on these has not been hopeful of getting results any time soon.
FTDNA's equipment is apparently very good at the regular 37 yDNA markers. All other tests are apparently much more difficult, with much higher failure rates and much longer delays.
yea..they're probably ironing the bugs out..and by the time your sample hits the grid they could probably do your results with one test-tube behind they're backs..

I hope you're right.
I'm also hoping for some real advancements in the coming years.
Maybe they'll discover the R1b Patriarch miraculously preserved in ice in Siberia, astride his faithful wooly mammoth, Fritz.
