  • mtdna is interesting too. I'm looking to see if I have an H sub-group. my refinement test is in batch 153..due July 3rd.

I'll learn what I can and pass the information on to my mtdna relatives, if they are interested.

(i hope no pre-partying interferes with my results day of july 3rd.. )

    C'mon 147!..just 4 more dayzzzzzzzzz!

July 3 is a Monday. Will folks be taking a long weekend (including Monday and Tuesday) for the 4th of July holiday?

I'm off on summer vacation then anyway, so I don't know.

Better hope FTDNA gets your mtDNA results to you on Friday, June 30!

I think I would be lucky to get them on that particular Monday.

          It is after all...an ETA.

                  • ARGH, I just clicked on the wrong window and erased my 48 page reply

This test, now that I no longer feel like typing out all that much LOL, helps prove who is and who is NOT related to a certain line that went from Germany to Sweden to Delaware. A line that everyone and their uncle has claimed descendency from. I am very excited to have been part of the 'parting of the lines'. We now have three men who match 12/12 (yeah, I know it needs to be more markers from this newer test), the other two match quite close at 37/37, with one having the same surname. One lives in Sweden and his line in Sweden is well documented back to the 2nd half of the 1600s. His surname is not the same due to the older naming pattern used in Sweden. The other one lives in PA and can't get further back than the 1850s at the moment. The new one is in a line that is very well documented back to the arrival of the line from Sweden when it arrived in DE in the 2nd half of the 1600s. Put the three together and I have convinced myself. Some people are going to be excited, some disappointed, and others will still be in denial.

BTW, this is not MY line, my line was in NJ and SC (another DNA story) but with the close proximity of the two lines, many people have said for ages they were related. And then some idiot in the late 1800s put out a book saying they WERE related, and there are made up couples all over the internet that have been used to connect lines to the DE line, couples that no proof of existance has ever been found. Well, I am just so excited, and my teenager is demanding the computer so I have to get off now..
