I need to look things over real well. It seems my closest matches are in Germany and Denmark, but I need to look at them closer.
Join the club...probable axe carrying saxon here.
Don't read too much into your 12 marker results, though. My first (12) results gave me lots of exact/close matches. And remember we're talking 2 years ago when there were only about 20,000 results in the FTDNA database. Once I got the next 13 markers all my matches went away.
I look forward to hearing what your additional markers indicate.

Yeah, I'll try not to get carried away too soon.
It feels strange, finally knowing what my haplogroup is.
Well, FTDNA was right on the money. The target was May 19th, and they came through.
He's probably too busy trying to wipe the extra wide grin off his face

I'm extra excited about all this, and my next 13 markers have come in, too!
My R1b1 head is spinning.
My wife, who has been in Russia with my daughter the last few weeks visiting our relatives there, will laugh when she finds out I'm kind of a typical Westerner.
I thought it would have been funny if I had come out R1a or some other typical Russian haplogroup.
They come back tomorrow. I pick them up at Dulles Airport at 5:30pm EST.
Looking at your results in Y-Search, I think you're actually a PRICE from Wales.
Hmmm . . . I've got to learn more about using that thing. AFAIK I have no Prices in my ancestry. I did see a match with a Dr. Price, but I need to take a closer look at it.
