  • I have never had a late result.

Those scientist people are probably just having their lunch or something.

Did you get your first-ever test results early, on time, or late?
I did my first testing (25 markers) back in 2004. I mailed my sample May 4th, received the first 12 markers in early June and the final 13 very near the end of June. We were told 4-6 weeks back then.

Sounds like things were pretty much on time.

Well, my results are on target for today, and the day is not over. In fact, it's still pretty early out there in Arizona, where the FTDNA lab is.

        Who knows?

        Anything can happen.

        • I am still pretty much right back in the same boat as you, Stevo! I received my results and did what I was supposed to do with them, but now I am just waiting for more results again...

I actually wouldn't mind waiting for more results, after I get some results and find out my y-haplogroup.

              • I just received . . .

a very courteous email from FTDNA telling me that I will probably receive my results sometime in the next few days.

No real explanation other than results come in a few days before and after the target date.

Still waiting, but thus far no one has said there are any problems.

It is still possible I could get my results tonight.

That is GREAT news, Stevo! You would have already received notification by now if there was a problem with your sample...

I've seen results hit the project results page on Saturday evenings so don't give up on the weekend if you don't see something this evening.

                    • My batch 147 results are due Monday. In Canada we will be celebrating Queen Victoria's Birthday on Monday, but I'll pretend the fire-works are for my results.

I've received a second email that says that the majority of people in Batch 147 have not yet received their results. Evidently, most of them do not participate in this forum.

FTDNA is expecting about 300 results to come in this weekend, and they will post them as soon as they get them.

                        I feel better.

I sent one email about noon EST and received pretty speedy responses from two different people. I like that.

                        It's encouraging.

No problems to report thus far.

I wonder how many people are in a batch. 300 seems like a large number so maybe some of us batch 148's will be pleasantly surprised this weekend.

I've never had to contact FTDNA myself but I've always read that they are very responsive to inquiries.

Could be. I was taken aback by that number myself.

I wonder if 147 is an unusually large batch or if those kinds of numbers are typical.

I hope we all get our results this weekend.

I count tonight as part of this weekend.

Thus far that is my experience.

Looks like your 59 markers has gone to 66 for no extra charge.

                              LUCKY!!!

                              • The Clouds Parted, The Angels Sang . . .

I just got my results from FTDNA!

At least the first twelve markers.

                                Phew!

                                At last!

                                There's joy in Muddville tonight.

I found out I'm an average white guy (surprise): R1b1.

Where are you, O'Connor, my brother!

We ride with the Uyghurs! Break out the kumis!

And where are my other brothers: Francesco and Mike Maddi?

                                (Sorry, folks. I'm rather elated.)
