I originally ordered Y-DNA37+mtDNAplus, but as soon as the 59-marker Y test was announced, I upgraded to it. I don't know whether the 4/21 date below applies to Y-DNA59, or to Y-DNA37, or even less than that. Does FTDNA post the results incrementally? Their Web page implies so.

I just got my 1-12 and 13-25 Y-DNA results (batch 143). Here is the posted schedule for the rest:

        Test Expected Batch
        ----- ----------- -------
        DNAPlus(HVR1) 05/03/2006 143
        DNAPlus(HVR2) 05/03/2006 143
        DNAPlus(Y-DNA26-37 Markers) 05/05/2006 143
        Y-Refine37to59(Y-DNA37-59 Markers) 05/15/2006 146

Note that the 37-to-59 refinement is in a later batch because it only became available a couple of weeks after I submitted my sample.

By the way, I got the 25-to-37 yDNA refinement a day or two ago, but still no mtDNA results at all.

they do one test at a time ydna and mtdna

they release the results and someone checks it and then it is posted

Sorry to be impatient, but has anyone else gotten their mtDNA results from this batch? It's true that according to my Web page, my mtDNA results (HVR1 and HVR2) are due on May 3, but I am nevertheless surprised because my yDNA results (first 1-25, then 26-37) arrived weeks ago.

As you can see from previous posts, the batch was actually created on March 8.

I wonder whether all tests since mid-April have been delayed by the influx of requests from National Geographic subscribers (through the Genographic project).

Bad news, just as I thought. In response to my email query, here is what Bennett Greenspan wrote:
                            ---
Of the 398 samples form batch 143 34 are still outstanding. 145 [sic] and 145 were uploaded yesterday and I'd expect the re-runs form 143 to be about 10 days.
                            ---

If I understand him correctly, he is saying that batches 144 and 145 were completed (and recorded onto the Web site) yesterday; but my mtDNA is in batch 143, and he is saying that about 9% of these failed their first run and must be redone. Hence, he is saying, my redone results will be available in about 10 more days.

                            Is my interpretation reasonable?

                              144 did get mtdna results

I got my results yesterday; I'm sorry you folks didn't. It's not fair of course.
