    Me too!

I also have lucky 13 at DYS 393..... Maybe that's why I was born on the 13th... ;-)

    Just curious
    Do you have 393=12.....or 393=13

    yeah...

That's what I was thinking too......12 markers isnt really much help genealogically speaking, but from an anthropological view, it was sort of exciting to see maybe I have an ancient ancestor somewhere in the high plains of the the Caucuses...before migrating to Europe..who knows. It reminded me of that segment on the PBS show 'Journey of Man' with Spencer Wells when they wouldnt let him into Uzbekistan at the border on the first try....

    M153- M18- M222- M65- M73 -

So I'm in good company with all the other R1b1c's and just waiting on the 1,5,6 or 8 subclade I guess....

Interestingly I'm a one-step mutation on the 12 marker from someone from Uzbeskistan!
    Welcome to the club! :-)

Let's see what level of detail the final results will produce. On the other hand, the one step mutation on the 12 marker probably is not relevant, since the most common ancestor goes back to the pre-Roman Empire... Even with a 12 marker match it goes back about 2,000 years, when people lived in a large empire and shifted from province to province with the army, landed veterans, colonists, etc.... I have a 3 step mutation on 25 markers and that can still go back 1,000 years...

A concentration of Rib's are just N/W of China and around Mongolia.

Maybe mtdna H went with Y- R1B for an eastward moonlit walk in Europe and kept going?

Your haplogroup assignment represents a partial result from your Deep Clade test. One or more SNP tests failed to produce a clear result. These SNPs are being rerun. However all the SNPs that provided a result through the testing are displayed so that you can see what you are (+) and which SNPs you can rule out (-) at this time."

So the only novelty is "c" which is exactly what I expected, given the Haplogroup page info... Hopefully there will be more results after the re-run...
Awesome! Now did they indicate when you might expect the results of the re-run? I'm hopefull they will give the rest of us in this batch some updated data as you received. Fingers are still crossed.....

    No news

Nothing has changed over the weekend... I sent them an e-mail this morning so if I find anything new, I'll make sure to post that info here.

    Interesting sites; thanks, Elise

I'm a typical K in having 16224C, 16311C, and 16519C, but then I've also got a 16264T, which seems to break all of the other matches. The best I can tell with a quick search is that it is part of the series of mutations found in L1b.
I've got a lot to learn.

My mutations are common within the Ashkenazi Jewish population of haplogroup K. There are many non-Jewish people in K as well, with different mutations.

Did you have a chance to look at the K website at FTDNA and the surveys that Bill Hurst has done? Here are the links:
