This test failed to yield results for your sample. Your sample is being rerun now. Results from this round of testing are expected by this date. Please note that predicted dates are an estimate and subject to lab volume and quality control.
The first twelve markers are loaded from the first attempt. Mark the job complete and assign me to R-L21.

New expected results for the first Y STR panel: 9/9/2013.

Just got my Population Finder results...

Europe (Western European) Orcadian, 45.99% +/-0.00%
              East Asia (Mongolian), 54.01% +/- 0.00%

It seems Genghis Khan is winning battles from the grave -- just devoured 4% of my dad's European genes.

                Us too!

Maybe they were just being cautious by giving us a due date of 9/9

                Cousin's PF
                95.43% European (Orcadian)
                4.57% Middle East: Mixed

                My PF
                95.44% European (Orcadian)
                4.56% Middle East: Mixed

Hope a common match comes in to explain the above lol

This went by with no matches so I contacted them again

"When Family Finder results are first uploaded they must go through our matching algorithms before they can be published. This process can take up to an additional 3-5 business days to complete depending on the size of the upload. The most recent Family Finder upload was very large and at this time results are being released incrementally with expectations that the pipeline will be cleared before the end of the week. If you have not received your full results by Friday please contact us so we can investigate your account further."

                    S.

Mine too! 218 matches. Nobody that close except to me, being 1st cousins and also our cousin 1R.

This cousin 1R has an unknown father. All three of us have some different shared blocks. We are hoping to get a breakthrough on this eventually

                          Still Waiting

I have 3 tests in Batch 523 (Y38-47, Y48-60, Y61-67) that got the message of the tests being rerun, due on Sept 9th (which is now yesterday), but still nothing has been returned. :/

My results pushed back again..it will have been 3 months from when I ordered my Y-Tests before their new anticipated date.

Same thing with my MTDna results..delayed also.

                            This is becoming unacceptable.

Same with my Y Panel 1 STR markers. The thing that's annoying me most is the values are there in my Standard Y STR download file. So the test was probably fine the first time and the job just never got marked complete.

Wow, after you posted I did a download and opened the results...

My 1st 12 markers are IN my download also and they match my N1C1 haplogroup group so I know they're mine and valid..

...yet they say my Y-12 is delayed and won't be available for almost another month.

WTF is going on with this place?

Are they farming out the work to people in India and there's a communications problem? Is anyone even in charge here?

The current message on my Y-DNA 12 markers:

                                (Predicted date: 10/7/2013)

"Results for your Y-DNA testing have been delayed. We have updated your predicted completion date, and action by you is not usually required. Note that predicted dates are an estimate and subject to lab volume and quality control. There are several possible reasons for the delay. The first is elevated lab demand for this test. The second is that one or more panels did not produce clear results and is being rerun. Less commonly, your sample failed. In this case, if we have an unused vial in storage, we have begun extracting DNA from it. If we need a new sample and do not have one in storage, we will mail another DNA kit to your address on file."
