I figure the point of these discussions about the Batch Calendar is to keep us from bugging Customer Service unnecessarily.

I see no one else has mentioned having an FF test in Batch 512 - don't know if it takes longer if there are no others in the Batch.

In any case, Population Finder has just come in for the Kit I manage in Batch 512, so that is a good sign! Yay!

The Batch numbers 512 and 513 were assigned AFTER the Kits had made it to the Post Office and been batched. First Batch 512, then Batch 513.

Do you have a 512 Kit for Family Finder? If so, when is its expected Due Date, and do you have Population Finder results yet? If not, does anybody else have a 512 Kit for Family Finder?
loobster stop asking us and email or call ftdna and find out straight from the horse's mouth.

What are others seeing for Family Finder in this batch (512)? (trying to decide - should I be worrying that they may not be able to get good results from Kit I sent in? Or is this Batch for some reason just behind the later Batch, or ??)
People that had there dna already in storage at ftdna will get there results faster. There post office is really slow so a lot of time is wasted waiting for the kit to arrive at ftdna sometime 4 - 8 weeks then it has to be batched and then the test can run.

I have a kit for a relative in this batch - for Family Finder - and they recently moved the expected due date out to 6/24/2013. Is this what others are now seeing for Family Finder for this batch?

Good luck in the I2a Project.
My snp Z2103 result just came in positive.
Thank you to the lab folks.

My backbone test results came a couple of days ago (although it's already in the batch 515). And, yes, it confirmed, that I'm I2a (I-P37.2). And so I've joined I2a project.

Snp Z2103 was due yesterday, 6/3/2013 and no joy. This is a little surprising since snp L277 was in the same batch and results took less than three weeks, which was very cool.
How is it going for everybody else?

Joe, no, I didn't get a gaplogroup prediction yet.
Although it definitely looks like I2a. In the section "Matches" a number of matches appeared: 18 exact matches (by 12 markers) and 2 with 1-step distance (also by 12 markers). All of them are either I2a (P37.2) or I2a2 (M423).
As far as know, coincidence of only 12 markers shows quite far relationship (maybe 1 or 2 thousand years of common ancestor), but nevertheless.

    Dmitry,
That is great news. Even if =44 would have been super cool. By changing that 389II value, did you get a predicted haplogroup yet? Predicted or confirmed, it is important to join the appropriate haplogroup project for snp advice and general Y-dna guidence. I'm sure you already know that. FTDNA does a poor job of advising people on joining haplogroup projects which can be more important than surname projects for some of us.
    Keep up the good work.
    Joe

D.Clade, thank you! Yes, my kit is now in "Y-HAP-Backbone" test (batch 515). Expected on 24.06.2013. I think, this is what you are saying about.

The only thing that still confuses me is the value of DYS389-2 marker. Mine is 44, although at all other persons of I2a2a it varies from about 29 to 33.
I could have thought that this is a kind of mistake...

But I found in FAQ that there are two different ways to count the value of DYS389-2 (http://www.familytreedna.com/faq/answers.aspx?id=9#972). According to one of them I could count my value as 44-13= 31 (DYS389-2 minus DYS389-1), and this would look more like other persons ones.

But can I be sure, that my DYS389-2 was counted the same way, as the one of other persons in the table? Who can explain me that?
    Hey Dmitry,

Something is not right about 389II=44. The good news is if they can't predict your haplogroup they will do "a snp" test to find out. Sometimes this is called a backbone test.
    http://www.familytreedna.com/faq/answers.aspx?id=9#299
Haplogroup - Results for all standard Y-STR tests include your predicted Y-DNA haplogroup, i.e., your paternal line's deep ancestral origin. If we cannot predict the haplogroup with 100% certainty, we will run a SNP test free of charge to determine it.

Maybe posting the 389II=44 question on one of the two Y-dna forums could help. Hopefully someone will spot it and have some answers. Should be interesting.
