Wow! My first 12 markers are already done. Great!

Unfortunately, it says "No matches found" and "You Have No Haplogroup Prediction"... But nevertheless, quick job. Thanks. Will wait for the next (13-37) ones.

            Dimitrius,
It's great to get those first results. "No matches found" and "You Have No Haplogroup Prediction" just makes your results a little more interesting.
Have you joined a Y-DNA Geographical Project yet? That may help you with halpogroup prediction and to see if your STR numbers fit certain groupings.

              D.Clade, thank you!
I've just joined the "Ukraine DNA Project". Because my father (and father of his father ans so on) is from Ukraine. No exact matches, but my STR-s look more likely as I2a. "Ysearch" also shows most people with similar markers as I2a.
One marker looks very strangel: DYS389II = 44, I didn'd find anyone with such value at all, even close to it... Well, it's really interesting, how could it be. I hope, next markers will clarify something.

Snp L277 result came in today, and it is negative. That is less than three weeks from batch day. My compliments to the lab.
Awaiting snp Z2103 and placed an order for snp Z2105.

I am still waiting for Z2105 results (batch 512) for one of the kits I manage

For another kit I manage I got the Y12 back. The Y haplogroup cannot be predicted - so SNP backbone test is to be done.

                        Hi Pillar of Fire,
Just wondering if you added your husband's kit (Y-DNA67:R-M269, Z2103+; L584-) to the R1b1a2 (P312- U106-) DNA Project (aka ht35 Project). Looks like we are on the same snp path.
                        Best of luck,
                        Joe

They Y1-12 came in today, and I have added the basic result to my signature. This early result appears to fit quite well with other results in the Ellis family project. Let my DNA education begin!

D.Clade - Yes, I did join him to the R1b1a2 (P312- U106-) DNA Project (aka ht35), but I found the R1b1a2 and Subclades http://www.familytreedna.com/public/...ction=yresults more helpful in the advices given what to test.

So first I did Z2103, then L584. The L277's price put me off, but I ordered it in March.

Initially I did not consider ordering Z2105, because it is assumed that whoever is Z2103+ is also Z2105+.

I decided to order Z2105 as well, could he turn Z2105-? even when all the project admins assume that the two SNPs go together? I have no knowledge - but no harm to do the test !

Like you, I think Z2105 seems redundant but ordered it just in case. Some project managers are still hoping for that Z2105-.
Watch out for the R1b1a2 and Subclades project as some of the snps recommended seem old and not useful. Although the information on the ht35 project seems old, the snp groupings are the most current I have seen. The most current phylogenetic tree for R1b can be found at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/R1b-YDNA/ or http://www.isogg.org/tree/ISOGG_HapgrpR.html. I admire all the kits you have going.
                              Regards, Joe
