My dates
I did the 37 marker test. Here are my dates:
Batch 118 created - 8/18/2005
DNA Isolation began - 8/21/2005
DNA at Sequencing facility - 9/3/2005
Quality Control began - 9/7/2005
*Target Results Date - 10/1/2005
What exactly should I expect on 10/1?

37
I did my entire 37 marker test off the bat (the $219 one). I believe I will get the first 12 markers on, or around 10/1, and then the next 13 a few days later, and the rest a few days after that. After reading about so many people's delays, I'm getting kind of worried, though.

Jim,
In your experience, given the dates I have given you and knowing that I'm having all 37 in one fell swoop, what results do you expect I should get and when?
I'm guessing I get the first 12 around Monday. I'm assuming I have no shot at all of getting all 37 next Monday, right?
Thanks!

Kevin,
In our project, we've had samples in probably every batch for the past year. In months past, we could pretty well count on results within a few days after the estimated date. More recently results seem to be taking longer for most of our tests. We currently still have one set of results still pending for Batch 116 and one for Batch 117. These are the oldest results we still have pending. The dates have now have been reforecast to 17-24 days later than the original estimated date in the case of the pending Batch 117 test. There is no notation that this is due to a need to rerun the test, though it may be. Results for another Batch 117 test already have been received. All this is to say that you may not want to stay at home waiting on the day your results are "expected." I hope that this is a temporary situation and the dates will be more predictable and turn-around times shorter in the future.

around batch 95-100 the same stuff happened so we requested this forum
i do wish max came more often but he doesnt . 95 to 102 were maddening i did mine then.thats why i wanted this forum thats when i did the math back then it worked out to about 900 per batch. unfortunatly that was an average
jan feb is probably the worst because people buy kits for presents . christmas day everyone does it and mails before jan 1 so whatever batch starts after jan 7 might get 1800. so the problem is evident sucess breeds problems. then came the national geo project which i am sure is mutipling this.
so what do we get fo the NG project well i went months with no ones joining my groups today i got 2 members in frosinone and yesterday 2 more .yesterdays had results so they were ng people. i like that alot infact i asked for 3 more projects today
i dont know whay some peoples dna is tough i can sympathize i hated delays but this is so much better as group admins will testify to

Rec'd this message in response to my e-mail today:
"We apologize for the delay. The lab is running about a week behind in reporting results. They are working overtime to try and catch up and we expect your results to be here at the beginning of next week."
I'm not happy about playing the waiting game, but if I get my results only a week late I guess I'm doing better than some others around here. I've been considering buying my Uncle a kit, as he is the only male on my Mom's side of the family alive. But if turnaround times are three months, I'll probably reconsider. Does anyone have any experience with the other places?

project admins might be noticing instead of getting multiple match notifications they are comming in dribs and drabs . so they must be releaseing as they get them and the flags dissapear. i know i had some 118s i dont see them now but i didnt check all my projects.
