OK I COULDNT FIND A 117 still unfinnished so here is a 119 to show you the process that kits go thru the one above is simulair to created
9/1/2005. that shows the batch is created at the time i made this topic
Here is the similar data posted against my personal web page:
Kit Received
8/2/2005
Batch 117 created
8/4/2005
DNA Isolation began
8/7/2005
DNA at Sequencing facility
8/20/2005
Quality Control began
8/24/2005
*Target Results Date
9/17/2005
I was not sure what the refine Y-12 terminology meant with date shown 9/13.
I checked with FTDNA today and apparently batch 117 results will not be available on 9/17 and will begin coming in the next week and the following week.

116 AND 115 Were delayed as it does this time of year and if you chekck what i posted i said each week after they get 116 out a new one will rool out til they catch up

I suggest that if a delay usually occurs as you say above "AT THIS TIME OF YEAR" that the original target date shown on a persons personal page probably needs to be likewise adjusted in the original target date shown on his personal page to allow for any regular backlog due to company methods and scheduling.
My pending results page for batch 117 states 9/1 or within a few days. It's now 9/17, so that's _wrong_ information. It's one thing to be late, another not to keep customers informed. If I knew it was going to be later, I'd check back later. Instead I check and am wasting my time. That's poor customer service.
Batch question on why some are reporting and not others
I am watching two kits from batch 117. One of the kits has already released 25 markers and the other one has not released any markers yet. How can I find out what is going on? Four kits were all filed on the same date and have the same batch number of 117. Two have had numbers released and one I do not know about, and the fourth has had no numbers released yet.
Jim, you are definitely someone who sees the glass half full. As I have repeated before, there is just no excuse not to update the pages for delayed results. Even a form letter of some sort would at least indicate that the customer has not been forgotten. I sent my wife's and my uncle's samples in for Batch 111 in April. One site lists 8/4 as the expected date and the other, 6/23. I got half of my wife's mtDNA over a month ago, but nothing else since then on either. I have sent a bunch of emails and am waiting for an answer. If for some reason they are unable to do the test, or have lost the sample, or whatever, I would understand that; this is simply a matter of common courtesy toward a paying customer. If a friend were to ask me what company he should use for a genealogy project, how could I recommend FTDNA??

Target results date has been changed to 10/4/2005 with a comment that says "partial results from batch 117 reported. Balance expected by 9/27 - 10/04/2005." Some one is watching out for us.
I hope that the evacuation of Houston was not the cause and that everyone is back in Houston now, safe and sound. We will bear with family tree people and hold our tongue. Thanks for the update.
