Newbie Here!

Looking forward to the results of my mom's FF and my brother's FF tests. Both in this batch. Dec 19 seems like sooooooooo far away!!

My uncle on my dad's side is coming over tomorrow to do his FF test

My parents are in this batch. My FF results only took a couple weeks. I would think we should have these results sometime this month, if not the next couple weeks.

Darn it!

I was hoping that we would already have results since the batch before ours received their FF results in a little over 2 weeks. I am just a little too eager to get results Ah...but patience is a virtue.

I came online to check for that...to see if I at least had anything in my population finder...I think I am more anxious now then I was when I did the Mtdna plus...the wait is even more excruciating.

I agree, Rosemary! This is nerve-racking for me too as this for my mom who is an adoptee. Hope to shed some light on her ancestry and birth family. Hopefully, we will get it this week. Seems like the other batches got their results on Fridays. So I will keep my fingers crossed for then.

You should go and check your population finder results!!! Mine where in this morning and I was all lol! I was so thrilled at the results I started twirling around the living room haha. I too am an adoptee so this has been so important for me. Good luck with your results, if your PF is not in it should be in soon God willing.

Mine haven't come in yet Hopefully, there were no problems with my mom's kit and they will come in later today. Good luck to you Rosemary in your search. If you haven't joined the Global Adoptee Genealogy Project here on FTDNA and a yahoo group called AdoptionDNA, you absolutely should. They are extremely helpful in locating birth families.

Still nothing here. Waiting on two different accounts in this batch and nothing has changed yet. Fingers crossed it's soon! The wait is killing me!

I haven't joined the Ftdna group but I DID join the Yahoo group, I haven't been as active because I actually found my birth mother on my own by putting a add on the internet on CousinsConnect, so I and my mother spoke for a whole year and everything was great, she convinced me to move in with her so I left everything behind and did just that...left Maryland to move all the way up to Minnesota, long story short, it went really badly, turns out my mother is a really abusive person who is money hungry, who only wanted to use my for my money unfortunately...but going there wasn't a TOTAL loss, on the bright side, I fell in love with the small town of St. James, MN...everyone there was so amazing and supportive....I will never forget that town....I am not so active on the Yahoo group because I got scared off of finding anymore family, especially my father....who I did want to find. I do want to stress to all other adoptees that not to let this scare you away from finding your family, it's not always a horror story and you don't know if you don't try, I would do it all over again because now? at least I know.

BTW how long does it take for matches and such to come in after the PF results have come in?

LOL...oh gosh that would be SO great! FTDNA has been amazing to me, worth EVERY penny, I would of NEVER known about my father..(Or my heritage for that matter) had I not gotten the tests done. I am SO grateful ...here's to Friday! lol

No results yet

I have not received any results yet - I'm the eternal optimist. My cousin was in a previous batch and she got her Family Finder results earlier than December so I had hoped to get mine a week after her - still checking and hoping.
