It's possible they have your kit, and they just haven't updated your status. For some reason mine jumped straight from 0%, not received, to 40%, DNA isolated. Still, if another week or so goes by and you've still got nothing, I'd contact them again.
YAY!!!! It finally showed up as being received, and is at the first 20% milestone. Good! Now I don't have to worry anymore that it got lost in a hurricane! LOL
Well folks...really don't know how much better it is?? I leave that to the experts on the boards. They are using 9 regions and 43 populations to compare your DNA to. I came out with 47%Med 31%Northern Europe and 20%SW Asian..2%unknown. Then they gave me the 2 groups most like me and they were German and Greek?? Actually I match their Bulgarian pop almost to a tee so don't understand My Neanderthal is a whopping 3.5 on a scale of 1-4 and Denisovan is 3.0 which is more in the experimental stage and can change a bit. 23&me Neanderthal was 2.4 so that is different.
I am surprised at the SW Asian # but not at the actual pop. McDonald never mentioned it but my son and I have a good chuck on my X chromosome and I think that it comes from my unknown Fathers Mother. Nat Geo gives good descriptions of the regions and how the populations get to look the way they do. Migration, mixing....don't expect to to be any one thing!! I got a bit more info and certainty with this new and little bit different info. So all is good! Good Luck to everyone waiting for results...hope it comes quickly.

Congrats on your results auntsha! Could you copy and paste the 9 regions and 43 populations they are using? Thanks.

Thanks much for posting auntsha. I can't wait to see everyone's results as they start coming in. I wonder if the Southern Italians will have results similar to yours. It will be interesting......
I'm disappointed that there isn't greater autosomal resolution, but it looks like this will be wonderful for previously under-represented populations. The main reason I ordered the test is for the ySNPs - hope I'm not disappointed by those results, but I'll only have myself, my dad, his dad....to blame if they don't turn up something interesting.
I'm still at 60%, but based on auntsha's post, I'll predict for myself: regions - Med, N Europe, SW Asian; possible populations - Tuscan, Sardinian, Greek, Iberian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Tunisian, maybe German, Romanian, N. Caucasian.
I hope they'll be able to get more specific than this. I know I have Southwestern Native ancestors, but I'd be interested to know if they can differentiate between Apache, Pueblo, Navajo, etc.
. . . I'm a little curious why they chose this as a category. I'm sure they're referring to the Maya, Nahua, Mixtec, Zapotec, etc., but I would think those should be included under Amerindian along with all other indigenous North American groups.

What type of resolution were you looking for? I am not sure what you guys mean when you say this? Does NG assign you to one of their 9 regions? How accurate can they be - I mean is there enough resolution to assign someone to 'Germany', 'Italy', or 'Greece'? Or is a region like North Europe or the Mediterranean more accurate
